Dr. Nancy Y. Lee, MD

I my name is Remy/Ramira, I was recommended proton radiation therapy in 2019 to eliminate what I was told a little dusting reminisce of squamous cell carcinoma on my right ear, Nancy Lee gave me four quads of proton radiation and since then have been suffering from chronic pain with no help from any narcotic, nerve pain medicine, Nerve blockers nerve stimulators, you name it I tried it with no success of relief. I was told from multiple doctors that she gave me more than Double radiation that what I needed. For the last seven years, I’ve been hospitalized 10ths of times because the pain gets so severe that I start vomiting uncontrollably. I can sadly tell you that Nancy Lee as soon as she found out about my pain with no logical explanation besides excessive radiation, she transferred my case right away and never saw me again. I truly believe because I signed up for a clinical trial. She used me as a guinea pig. no, I suffer from severe radiation necrosis I had brain surgery to remove… dead tissue. My ear was amputated because of lack of blood circulation, lost all my teeth, have a paralyzed vocal cord and the right side of my face besides other problems caused by side effects of the excess medication I’ve been taking. The worst of it I have no quality of life at all. I don’t get out of the house, I can’t drive, I can’t do anything around the house, I can barely talk, I can’t swallow, I just pray that I fall asleep to avoid these painful nightmare. I hope Nancy reads this review so she doesn’t fry anybody else like she fried me.

Terrible!

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Lee for several years and she is one of the most caring, thorough, and kind physicians I have ever met, and we have met a lot of physicians. She spends a good amount of time listening to us and checking up on my husband other issues from prior visits. Highly recommend to friends and family. Great, friendly and accommodating staff and nurses.

This really breaks up heart to see and know that there is a radiation oncology doctor at prestigious MSK who has zero bedside manners and empathy. I would not be writing this review if she was not this bad. I work in healthcare, I am a ICU nurse and my mother has stage three lung cancer. During the entire course of proton beam therapy, we saw Dr. Lee three times and every single visit, she saw us for at most two minutes. She did not give me or my mother not even a second of her time to ask questions. She didn’t ask how she was doing after therapy. (My mom went to ED twice and had to get bronchoscopy five times within two months because of radiation induced necrosis per IP). She doesn’t communicate with my mother’s interventional pulmonologist (IP) and doesn’t care to. When I told her about this, she bluntly said “CT scan looks good, you will get email from mychart when PET scan results come back, see you in six months, ok? Ok.” She never showed us imaging.. she mistaken my mothers… diagnosis with another patient when we saw her second time during therapy. I believe she should not get any patients. She does more harm than good to patients… emotionally and physically. I am scarred from my visits with her.

Not surprised Dr. N. Y Lee has year after year extremely low patients’ ratings mostly just a ONE STAR because she is truly below any stars! Patients must know the horrific truth as earlier as possible and see the comments instead of just stars. Shockingly Dr. Lee seems considering cancer patients her worst enemies and insisting cancer patient to break up with family during radiation treatment maybe that nobody will care when they die! Dr. Lee acts like she is not obligated to follow any standards of medical care, any of medical ethics or oath and is outrageously cruel. Looks like she is practicing of “setting up” cancer patient and caregiver for sudden unpunishable abuse by the Proton Center technicians to create a “record” that they are “bad!” The next step - without any hesitation Dr. N. Lee is "offering" to advanced and aggressive cancer patient on the middle of brutal PROTON radiation treatment "to find another facility," “being restrained from their caregiver” or "stop any… treatment." NO PATIENTS MUST BE IN HER CARE! Looks like Dr. N. Lee has no obligations to be responsible for deadly actions against her patients after deliberately destroying their chance to survive and causing patient death from stopping radiation on the middle of the treatment. Dr. N. Y Lee must be permitted to deal only with Guiney pigs and NOT WITH ANY LIVE PEOPLE!

She treats patient very badly, too radical approach, doesn’t care about patients other diseases. All she care the nombers not the quality of life of patient

After going to a different cancer hospital, we wanted a 2nd opinion and luckily ended in the office of Dr Lee. She was blunt and explained that the treatment would feel miserable but that my husband would be fine. I had read all the research on nasopharynx cancer that i could find and had a lot of questions. She answered them all and sent me the articles i couldn't access myself since im not a medical doctor. Everything she said would happen, did happen, including my husband being fine afterwards. He's 6 years cancer free, and we were able to have 3 healthy kids (something the other hospital had told us couldn't happen). we owe it to dr lee's treatment plan. She gave us hope and she saved my husband's life. You can't put a number of stars on that... she deserves 100 stars. Thank you dr lee!!!

I was under the care of Dr. Nancy Y. Lee not Dr. Nancy A. Lee. She was full of compassion trying to help me with my horrific cancer diagnosis, which was mismanaged by others. Don't get me wrong, she is EXTREMELY busy, but, she will do everything for you behind the scenes. You need to understand that.
