Nancy Lundin, PhD

I am a clinical assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I specialize in caring for adolescent and young adult patients who have experienced the recent onset of a psychotic disorder. I also assess and treat patients showing early warning signs that indicate they are at risk of developing a psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia.I am fortunate to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICENTER) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My team and I provide comprehensive treatment services to help our patients and their families to reach their individualized recovery goals. Rather than conduct psychotherapy focused solely on symptom reduction, I passionately cultivate a safe and collaborative space where my patients can make sense of the challenges they have experienced, explore the goals they have for their lives, build …skills, and develop a strong sense of agency. My role also includes helping to educate future providers.My research focuses on identifying the cognitive, neural and clinical symptom features of psychosis. I am particularly interested in studying speech and language patterns across the psychosis spectrum, including how people search for related concepts in their minds and how people understand and communicate their personal life stories. I am also interested in disseminating psychosis intervention services in community settings and improving the quality of clinical care.
