She then went on to an accelerated program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts finishing the four year program in just three years where she received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). After completing school, Dr. Starr began her General Practice Residency in New York City in a combined program at Bellevue Hospital and New York Hospital. She remained in New York for 10 years and owned a private practice as well as a teaching position at Einstein Hospital.

Married to Steven Starr, MD, a Urologist at South Shore Hospital, Dr. Starr moved back to Massachusetts in 1991, before the birth of her second son to be closer to her family. In 1992, Dr. Starr began practicing in Rockland and has been there ever since. Her son Zachary just graduated from …Duke University and will be attending the University of Maryland School Of Dentistry in August. Her son Alexander will be a sophomore at Duke University in the fall.
In addition to her family and her practice, Dr. Starr enjoys tennis, fitness, and yoga.
