Dr. Nancy Uebler Yokois, MD

As a teenager my daughter Maya was referred by her pediatrician to Dr. Yokois. It was a scary time for my daughter but Dr. Yokois and her staff made the diagnosis and treatment smooth every time we visited her office. She was attentive, with excellent bedside manners and we appreciated how she not only educated myself but my child as well in terms that she understood clearly and the knowledge she imparted on Maya has stood until this very day! Thank you so very much!

She is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. Our nanny had to take our daughter to her appointment because I was out of town for work and my husband, who was initially going to take her, had been deployed on an emergency the day before. She was incredibly rude and condescending to our nanny in front of our children. We will never be returning to this practice and will share our experience with everyone.

IIf you've gotten any diagnosis from her, get a second opinion. Our friends went to her for their daughter and she guaranteed it was eosinophilic esophaligitis (ee) and it turned out to be a tongue problem. She said the same of our son and it turns out it was just reflux. She did no extra testing. DO NOT TRUST HER

When you bring your child to a GI, you are doing so with the trust that they are informed, know how to diagnose issues, and are up to date on the latest research. Unfortunately, Dr Yokois is none of these. When she thought my child had EoE, she did not even know what Tiger Protocol was, despite diagnosing EoE "2-3 times per week', and despite this being the gold standard protocol for diagnosing the disease. She did not even know she is supposed to rule out GERD. She and her staff are not familiar with tests offered at their own hospital. The lab performed a test on my daughter completely incorrectly, and though they apologized and have made steps to correct that issue, Dr Yokois would not acknowledge it was done improperly and insisted on using those test results. She does not keep up with current research, and if she is unfamiliar with a disorder, she does not try to become informed. She does not even seem to understand basic GI function, denying that my child could have pain all… night long from something consumed in the morning. The office staff also leaves a LOT to be desired. All in all a terrible experience, and I would never recommend anyone to her for any reason.

Our son first exhibited signs of Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis as a Sophomore. His doctor at that time was good, very thorough and we had no concerns. He moved and Dr. Yokois was assigned to our son. She talked with him directly about how he felt, discussed the differences between Crohn's and UC, and asked for his feedback about treatment, as she wanted to be more sure about which it might be. Our son immediately became more forthcoming about how he was feeling, and changes in his symptoms. As a result, Dr Yokois made changes in his treatment and he has been in complete remission for over six months. He has a lot of energy and is looking forward to his freshman year in university this Fall.We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yokois for anyone who has a teenager with gastro problems.
