Dr. V takes personal interest in his patients. When I needed two surgeries, which were both critical, he helped me make a decision on which one I should have first. My husband and I both have him as our Neurologist, and he did a great job assessing my husband's symptoms as a seizure, which led to surgery on a carotid artery.

I've been seeing Dr. Visvalingam on & off for nine years. He originally diagnosed me with an extremely rare condition that he recognized immediately. So, almost nine years later when my PCP asked me which neurologist I'd like to be referred to for some new issues, I didn't hesitate to ask for Dr. Visvalingam. It took awhile to get my initial appointment, but, no longer than I wait to see my PCP for an ordinary follow-up. During my appointment, he was very attentive & understanding. He told me he wanted me to see a couple other doctors & have some tests done. The very next day his staff was calling me with the dates & times for all of that. I'm impressed with this doctor & his staff!

Doctor talks to daughter instead of patient (her mother) when mother is quite capable of answering questions.Appears to be nice person but I am underwhelmed as far as his doctoring is concerned. Seems like he would rather be somewhere else.
