Dr. Naomi T Jacobs, PhD

Dr. Jacobs has been an excellent counselor for me. She is a very good listener and she gives excellent guidance and advice. I am amazed how she can remember everything I have told her from past meetings. I enjoy my sessions with Dr. Jacobs, she is very easy to talk to and she’s funny. She’s a very understanding and compassionate person. She really cares about what you’re going through and she genuinely wants to help you. She has been helping me with depression and anxiety issues, and I can say that I am much better in both areas. She has helped me to find a purpose in my life. My self-esteem and self-confidence are so much better now for having seen Dr. Jacobs. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacobs.

Naomi Jacobs, Ph.D., is an excellent therapist. She has helped me through many difficult family-related issues. She is extremely personable, approachable, and supportive which makes sharing problems with her easier, and more comfortable. I value my time spent with Dr. Jacobs and thank her for helping me regain self-confidence, as well as helping me to utilize new strategies and coping skills, as I attempt to solve and face difficulties in various relationship situations.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH Completely unprofessional therapist who has managed to do more damage than help in a short time. A close family member Went to dr Jacobs shortly and was set back very far from her encounter. She will only take cash or check for her co pays but does not make this clear ahead of time. The family member I am speaking of did not have cash or check with her and was not expecting no ability to pay by card, as most places will allow(even stalls at the flea market take cards). Dr. Jacobs expressed it was completely okay and to just bring the money to the appointment next week. Shortly before the appointment Dr. Jacobs left a voicemail stating that the scheduled appointment and all future appointments are cancelled until her co pay had been paid from the previous appointment. I understand the need to get paid but there is a right way and a wrong way to handle this when working with individuals who have made themselves vulnerable to her and… expressed trust/abandonment issues. If prompt payment was so vital why would she not just express to come by before the appointment(or creating an online payment method) instead of saying “paying at the next appointment is fine.” And setting a future appointment just to cancel it within a week before. Completely unprofessional behavior that lacks empathy. Again it’s not that she wanted her money that’s wrong. It’s the saying that it’s fine to pay at the next appointment only to cancel it the day before. I have now found this is why someone near to me has refused to attend the therapy they need for over a year. The damage is done and trust lost.
