Dr. Naomi Horowitz James, MD

If I could rate this so called Dr on a lower scale I would . I was recently a patient and Seton Kyle with being rushed there after passing out and turning blue and my wife and son having to do CPR to revive me until the paramedics arrived. I am currently in pain management which I have been for years due to having a broken lower back and several herniated disc’s and spondylitis. I take opiates as directed to deal with excruciating pain from that. I had a heart attack after having a stress test that came back abnormal and my wife insisting another CT scan be done the only thing Dr James could concentrate on was the evils of taking opiates . Which after 4 days she realized I had no opiates in my system. She literally came into my room after my cardiologists PA Explained to my wife that I needed to have a cauterization test done to examine my heart function . Dr James came in about 2 hours after Courtney Farris left and told my wife that she had told me wrong information and that… procedure wasn’t going to be done. She said it was common place for dr not to have different opinions on procedures . Then laid into my wife about only taking opiates . This upset my wife extremely bad who is experienced in Adult Addiction. It led to she and I speaking with the charge nurse that we no longer have faith or trust in Dr James because she essentially was discounting all the information that my cardiologists PA had just told me . Who I trusted over Dr James . Dr James has been so jaded over anyone that is in pain management that she lets it overshadow all needs of patients . She has gone so far as sending a letter to my pain management dr that has treated me for several years, seen MRI’s of my back that I need surgery on to refill my prescriptions . So this is the type of DR that hold no regard for the needs of her patients . I would never recommend this dr to anyone . If you are someone with a chronic problem of any kind. This is not your Dr . She honestly has no business holding a medical license at all . I say this because she doesn’t listen to her patients, is condescending and talks down to you like she is a better person than you. Has no interpersonal skills whatsoever. She basically left me in excruciating pain the last two days I was there . My problem of being in the hospital wasn’t because of a misuse of opiate law or anything even pertaining to them . It was because of a backlog of being able to get my cpap machine and a buildup of carbon Dioxide, pneumonia which led to me having a light heart attack . All that was happening with me , yet all she saw was that I was in pain management. She has no business I say yet again to be or acting medicine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR !!!!
