Dr. Naomi Adina Levy, MD

Dr Naomi Levy is an excellent physician who listened to my concerns for my child's issue and gave excellent suggestions for my needs.

Before Dr. Levy I had a therapist that didn’t seem to know how to help me properly, and a psychiatrist who didn’t really give any recommendations on medication or options to switch it really. Dr. Levi has helped me get on the right medications after being on some that clearly weren’t working properly for a couple years and genuinely seems like she cares that you get the help you need. I’ve seen some negative reviews here and I felt that I’d share my positive experience. I didn’t feel like Dr. Levy was at all confrontational, nor did she interrupt me at all. In fact, Dr. Levy did something remarkable, she was able to make me realize that I might have other issues that I haven’t confronted by listening to and bouncing some thoughts and ideas off me, in a way that didn’t feel pressured or forced. Dr. Levi has done a lot for me in the past 8 months or so, and I greatly appreciate it.

Dr Levy is good at medication management. She is conservative and takes her cues from me in terms of what I am comfortable with. She weaned me off a long term medication which I was very happy to get off, and has exoerimented with other options but only to the extent I am comfortable. The doctor I saw before her was always in favor of more medications, so her approach has really been refreshing. Her therapy style is somewhat off-putting. She is usually right in her opinions about what I should do, but I am there for supportive therapy, not a lecture on my parenting. I will keep seeing her because I am much happier with how she handles my medication than my prior psychiatrist.

Horrible personality. Disrespect and interrupts when you are talking. Tries to be your therapist even if only seeing her for meds and she is in contact with your therapist. Accusative and lies in her notes. Not at all welcoming or even a bit warm. Very intimidating.

Dr. Levy is compassionate, thoughtful, and incisive. She is unusual for a psychiatrist in her willingness to provide information and her expert opinion but then take her cues from and collaborate with the patient.

Goes out of her way to support, care and guide patients throughout crisis.

Awful. Who educated this woman? She has not a clue what she is doing.

Horrible diagnosis to say the least. She is very close minded, too old school, and she is really behind the times. While I think she is a nice person, going to her was a scarring experience, and I would definitely not recommend her as a psychiatrist.

An amazingly caring psychatrist that Oak Park is lucky to have. Combines counseling/therapy and medication as needed. I saw her for 5 years and she was the best!

I think this doctor is phenomenal.
