Dr. Narayana Parameswaran Narayana, MD

Dr. Narayana I first met when I was in St. Joseph's hospital with acute necrotizing pancreatitis caused by gallstones. He is extremely friendly and very thorough. He preformed an Endoscopic biliary sphincterotomy to remove the lodged stone and open up my unnaturally narrow duct opening. I was in ICU for several days and he took very good care of me. I was just back in hospital again with more problems with my gallbladder. Dr. N took very good care of me again. He even stopped by while they were doing imaging and checked on me. I highly recommend him. He is a great doctor. He saved my life when I was suffering with acute necrotizing pancreatitis.

Dr Narayana is nice and gentle, he has an excellent bedside manner. He listens well and is thorough and clear in his explanations, I was very happy with my first visit. I was less pleased with his small staff, who did not acknowledge me even though I was the only patient at the end of the day, and made me wait too long. I found the nurse's personality loud and obnoxious but also efficient and quick before I got to see the doctor. The office decor could also be more inviting; it's clean but colorless. In sum, I'd only recommend the actual doctor, not the overall experience.

Very thorough and answers questions. I did not feel as if he was rushed to get to another patient.
