Dr. Narender Nath Bhatia, MD

Diagnosed with four Post Uteran Tumors.... I saw Dr. Bhatia once for verification & exam & to set appt for surgery. I called for 3 months to set this up... I had my Mother & Sister call also. We never got any call backs from the office. We got promises and excuses from his personal nurse/receptionist. My tumors were noticeably growing & causing pain & frequent urination & extreme leakage. After speaking with my GP he referred me to another GYN ONCOLOGIST, a friend of his. I found out from the referred Dr that my tumors had tripled in sizes(all different) since being seen once and then ignored by Dr. Bhatia 3 1/2 months ago. And SURPRISE.... I also found out that Dr. Bhatia was practicing and performed surgeries for this referred group. I asked then insisted after telling my experience with Dr. Bhatia that I sign a non-consent form insisting Dr. Bhatia not perform my surgery & any other surgeries I may need nor be allowed in the operating room at any time & also file it with the… hospital. Alot of "we will see or ck what we can do & you're just upset & so on" were spat at me from Dr's & nurses in the group. I held my ground and did what was best for me without the shame or guilt, most in the group dumped on me & wanted me to hold. It was done, the forms with reasons & signatures were filled and copied and hand delivered to the hospital and put in all files concerned & the same for the referred office. In the OR, before surgery, while being talked to by the anesthesiologist, Dr. Bhatia walked in & whispered to a nurse... " Why isn't she under yet?". I yelled, asking if anyone in here knew how to read? And screamed to Dr. Bhatia to "get out and stay out... I don't trust you." He left. I had another surgery a year later to implant a mesh. Same non-consent forms I updated for this surgery & added to it, that Dr. Bhatia came into the OR, my last surgery, with details. Three years later I had an emergency surgery at a different hospital for a ruptured bowel. The Dr. Surgeon got my medical records from the referred medical group & the hospital of those surgeries. Approximately 4 days after the bowel surgery the Dr. Surgeon told me that indeed, Dr. Bhatia performed both previous surgeries that I had signed non-consent forms refusing his presence & participation for all surgeries I need, current & future. My reasons, insistance and legal forms were not considered or followed. I know they were acknowledged only to be ignored by every professional in the referred group and in the operating rooms for both surgeries. Dr. Bhatia did what he wanted and abused his profession and me. Everyone in OR went along with it. Nobody followed the legal forms or told me. They all hid these facts of betrayal and illegal performance. They all ignored and neglected me. Dr. Bhatia being the leader and liar and illegal performer for both surgeries on me, without any concern and respect for me. And all allowed him to get away with it and were part of it for three years. Until a concerned, respectable, Dr. Surgron with belief in truth and karma gently told me of the decietful & deviant behavior of Dr. Bhatia and the group. He held my hand and saw the tears escaping me. I had no words to offer, just a squeeze to his hand. He said, something close to this, "now you know the truth, it is yours to do what is needed. Do it proudly and without doubt." Dr. Surgeon squeezed back and let go then walked out of my hospital room. Dr. Bhatia no longer has privileges at the hospital he betrayed me and illegally performed my surgeries at. I don't know when his ending there came or if it had to do with me. I don't know if others in the group had any negative outcome from thier wrongful participation. I don't know how I feel, rather I can't let myself feel. It would be overwhelming for me. I have deep convictions for moral values and integrity. I believe I would could not withstand trying to understand.... It's a crazed feeling for me. I'll let truth & karma be justice, as Dr. Surgeon offered to me, his gentle wisdom.....
