Dr Ahuja, played a critical role in helping to allow me to live my very best life, happier and healthier than I had felt in 10 yrs. Surgery is not the "easy way out" as many people may lead you to believe. I no longer dread getting up in the morning and taking those first few very painful steps, as if I were walking on a bed of… nails. Everything I had to do carrying 100 lbs of excess baggage on me was hard. It was an emotional battle every morning getting dressed for work. I was beyond uncomfortable in my own skin. Most days would begin with tears and often end the same. In all seriousness, I didn't recognize my reflection in a mirror or store window. I began to withdraw from life and isolate myself from the things I used to love doing, especially socializing. I lost my closest friend either as a result of not giving my friendship any time and/or not sharing my quest to have this surgery. For me, this was a very personal decision. I talked to my husband and my doctors. I didn't want my head being confused by any outside noise. People have strong feelings about this surgery. Yes, it is drastic, but I decided my life was worth trying to save. I needed someone to help me. That person was Dr Naresh Ahuja! He listened, he advised he gave me choices, he encouraged me and was always honest. It has been about 10 months. I have gone from 235 lbs to 148 lbs. I know people are always curious about the numbers, but it is not the number that happy turned my life around. The surgery has given me my life back. I feel 25 yrs younger. I can do anything I want, playing and keeping up with my 3 soon to be 4 grandbabies has been the most treasured gift. I can move easier, breathe easier, no longer snore, have been able to get off several medications. I don't cry everyday when it is time to get dressed. My husband and kids are happy to have me back. I had my weight-loss surgery two years ago Dr. A has been amazing he encourages he never put me down one time and he always teaches his patients what they need to do I am so happy that Dr A was my doctor
