Dr. Narissa Joy Whitelaw, DO

Well I went to see Dr. Whitelaw for the first time as a new patient. She was nice but not very thorough in assessing me. She prescribed me two medications which she stated that her office staff would call in on Friday at the end of the day but now it is already tuesday and they still have not called in my prescriptions. I have called the office on Monday and Tuesday, Monday I spoke with the medical assistant who said she would take care of it and Tuesday I left a message and no one called me back. So what kind of doctor does that? I am a brand new patient to her and already I want to find a new doctor.

Had been to Dr. Whitelaw several times. Her communication about office procedure and my care was vague. Never followed through on anything. Scripts were not approved in a timely manner. I was getting sicker and sicker and point blank, asked her to help me get well. She never knew who I was or had updated herself on my issues before seeing me...and then had no patience to listen to my concerns. She is not capable of diagnosing anything beyond a sniffle. She actually walked out of one of my appts and never returned, leaving me sit there with no help for my ailments. Turned out I had a form of cancer.

When I have an apt I get seen at that time. Dr Whitelaw looks at my medical records and has knowledge of my conditions which are discussed in the apt which is important to me.

We have been living in Arizona for over 3 years and searching for a good family doctor. While we have been with Dr. Whitelaw for less than a year, we feel our search is over, Dr. Whitelaw is a true professional and meets or exceeds our expectations of what we looked for in a family physician.

Dr. Whitelaw has repeatedly informed me "I'm not comfortable following up on that". I have a complex medical history and she immediately refers me out to multiple specialists and then is reluctant to follow their routine care recommendations. Every time I have been actually treated by her, I go to the pharmacy only to find out at least one prescription did not get called in which delays care for a couple of days.

We moved from Texas and needed a new family Doctor. Dr. Whitelaw is a very good Doctor. Very caring, listens, kept me calm and talked me through every step of my procedure, and I have grown to trust her with my family and myself in a short period of time. I am very picky when it comes to choosing a physician but I know we made a great choice.

Our previous doctor was with CMG KIVA and we adored her, but after the practice was sold, she left. We were devastated, and not excited about having to find another doctor. Dr. Whitelaw is WONDERFUL!!! She is kind, patient, and takes her time. My kids love going to her as well! We finally found another AMAZING doctor!!!
