Dr. Herz is an excellent ophthalmologist. She is thorough and personable. After my regular exam, I left with a clear understanding of the health of my eyes. Technician who did pre-exam and refraction was very skilled and thorough as well.

They sent me an invoice months after the visit was conducted and when I requested copy of the form that I signed which stated that I would be responsible for additional charges they hang up on me. So unless you want to end up with unpaid invoices for amount(s) you didn't know about, I would not go to this place.

Dr. Herz was friendly, professional and easy to understand. Sherry did a good job with some eye examinations. Some of the other staff at the practice were not patient, considerate or helpful. Those individuals made my experience uncomfortable.

Not only did I have to wait three and a half hours to see the doctor but two hours after I got there I got to see the assistant intern who was examine my eyes. I told her my concerns and she said she would let the doctor know and doctor would answer them 40 minutes later I saw the doctor the prescription that both the doctor and the intern gave me we're wrong and the doctor never answered any of my questions or concerns. I'm not sure why but three times that I've seen her everything she told me was wrong. Cc Maryland state Board of Physicians Ophthalmology review board

I"m an R.N. and have worn prescription lenses for approx. 65 years & visited many ophthalmologists during my lifetime.. In my opinion Dr. Herz is number 1. She is easy to talk with, explains procedures and answers questions readily. MY husband and I agree that Dr. Herz professionalism & knowledge are among her strong attributes.

As a physician, I felt totally insulted and disrespected as a patient by dr herz and her rude support staff. Cushy 9-5p practice (not a moment later), can't even leave voicemail (zero concern re: busy patients being inconvenienced and forced to jump thru hoops just to ask clarifying follow up questions).
