Dr. Nathan Narasimhan

If you are considering Nathan Narasimhan, MD, for breast surgery, look no further. I came to Dr Narasimhan for breast implant placement (an exchange) after a suboptimal reconstructive surgery had been done by another surgeon. This previous work wasn't half bad, but had a great deal of rippling, particularly at the upper poles, and I wanted to go BIGGER. As a part-time fitness model, improvement was crucial. Upon meeting (last September), I was immediately struck by Dr Narasimhan's calm, confident demeanor (not to mention his very good looks). He had the bright idea to use an implant brand that ripples less (Mentor versus Natrelle), and he explained that prepectoral placement would further reduce the unfortunate ripple effect. He answered every question of mine without rushing, and he explained the procedure to my satisfaction. His assistant was also very pleasant, and I was seen on time. Even my post-surgical medication preferences were incorporated into the plan. On the… day of surgery, Dr Narasimhan was there for me to answer any last-minute concerns. I went under the knife with enthusiasm. The surgery itself was swift and free of complications. The result: the best breast reconstruction I have ever seen...and I have seen plenty in my cancer groups online. I believe that mine are superior in symmetry, size, and aesthetic appeal, with minimal scarring, too. My incisions were pristine. My healing was rapid; I bounced back to work as if I had only undergone an office procedure. Because the good doc was new to the UC Health system, there was no portfolio of Before & Afters available, so I took a bit of a risk in choosing him, but I tell you, the man delivered something special! I recommend him to you without reservation.

Dr. N bought this practice from the brilliant specialist who did my breast reconstruction after double mastectomy. Upon following up with Dr. N., I asked him what I should do in the future for "breast" exams. He said to continue to get my mammograms every year (mastectomy patients NEVER need a mammogram again. There is no more breast tissue.) A year and a half after my final surgery, I called him to find out if my implants were textured or smooth. He told me they were textured. I made an appointment with a specialist to remove my implants as the textured ones are being recalled as they cause a rare type of lymph cancer. Now I find out from the manufacturer of the implants that they are indeed SMOOTH and not TEXTURED. Thank God I thought to call the manufacturer. I was going to get them taken out. Dr. N. is uninformed about breast reconstruction. I don't know why he can't say, "I don't know," instead of guessing. I personally think he's an idiot.

Dr. Narasimhan is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, makes himself available and no question is seen as idiotic. I am 52 1/2 years old and had been living with pendulous breasts for over thirty years. When I had my last physical, my practitioner told me that I did not have to continue living with back pain, damaged shoulders, poor posture and low self-esteem. When I appeared in Dr. Narasimhan's office I was wearing a 42 I cup...this is an estimate as, when you are that size true fittings are not possible. Dr. Narasimhan did not make me feel shame for having breasts below my belly button. If anything he was compassionate, understanding and told me that he would do his best to make things better for me. On the day of surgery after he made the markings for the skin and tissue removal, he asked that I provide him with my daughter's phone number so that he could contact her after the procedure was complete. This meant the world to me, as although she is almost twenty, he… recognized that she is still a child. He has been a blessing to my life. He has answered my questions and concerns at all hours of the day and night I feel that I have been armed with realistic goals for the next 6 months. I have already noticed physical changes. My posture is improving and I am no longer tilting forward and it has only been a month. In addition to the 10lbs of skin and tissue removed from my breasts, I am now starting to lose more weight and have what looks to be a B cup. If you are considering breast reduction, Dr. Narasimhan is a valuable resource. He is patient, caring and takes a holistic approach to make you feel at ease.
