Dr. Naveed Iqbal, MD

Sounded like an excellent doctor during phone intake. But Is The Worst. 2+ weeks of calling. Never returned calls. Never refilled vital medication despite repeatedly telling his answering machine I desperately needed a refill. I've been without that medication, the only medication he prescribed, for over 2 weeks. From the second his answering machine picks up, you often hear nothing but music. No identification. Just endless rmusic. Useless And Dangerous!

Dr. Iqbal is brusque, rude and could have cared less about me or my mental health. Makes people wait for several hours in his office, spends the entire session taking notes and not looking at the patient, refused to give me any medication for sleep or anxiety. If you have a choice of doctors, I would go elsewhere. He does have a lovely office and staff, the only positive thing I can say for him.

Dr.Iqbal made sure I stayed relaxed, he was flexible with his time and actually listened, provided actionable next steps that realistically made sense. Office was clean and staff accommodated my schedule.

I’ve been seeing Dr Iqbal since 2016. I went straight to him right after I got out of rehab, and I’ve been clean ever since. I’ve seen many psychiatrists in my day, but Dr Iqbal is different. He genuinely wants what’s best for his patients. I could be having the worst day, but after a session with him, that stress just goes away. He asks the right questions. He listens to what you have to say. He can be direct, which for me, as a recovering addict, is exactly what I need. Whenever I celebrate my sobriety milestones, I always say that it’s thanks to hard work and Dr Iqbal. I honestly don’t know where I would be today if it wasn’t for him. He taught me about my disease, how to push through cravings, and how to be honest with him and myself. My husband and I ended up getting pregnant about a year and a half into my sobriety and Dr Iqbal was there for us every step of the way, supporting me and my family. After the pregnancy, he opted to see me right away and more frequently in order to… screen and assess for PPD(postpartum depression). He educated me and told me that someone like me runs a higher risk of PPD and there he was, a few weeks after I had the baby, asking questions and counseling me and actually caring. I just have so much respect for this man and I feel like he’s making strides in treating the addiction epidemic and saving so many lives along the way.

Had a wonderful experience for my first appointment

He has being caring and professional since the first visit. Most attentive and knowledgeable doctor I have ever known. If I say something bad about Dr. Naveed is a lie. He has been a great help to me. He listens to you and takes his time with you. Great office staff! Been with him since 2011 no complaints. Dr. Igbal is an underrated Psychiatrist he has been by my side for 7 years.

Very rude doctor, big liar, dishonest

Dr.Iqbal is an underrated westchester psychiatrist and has been by my side for 2+ years. Best in the area!

The only reason I tolerate him is because of suboxone without it I would be sick. He is extremely rude , pompois, and doesn't let me even talk. I he gives you what he wants without discussing your history, feelimgs, anything . I'm leaving asap
