Dr. Navid Mahooti, MD

I have had pain in my knees for many years, especially after long hikes and or use with ladders, stairs etc. Dr. Mahooti suggested Dry Needling due to the tight nots of muscles on my outside if the knees and quads. I was amazed after the procedure the instant relief I had, including the increased feel of my range of motion. The pain of the needles was minor about a scale of 2/3 out of 10 and you get instant results during the needling. I highly recommend this treatment!

I had been experiencing excruciating back/shoulder pain from muscle spasms. I had gone to the emergency room, chiropractor and general practice DR without relief. Pain for over a week. I was recommended to see Dr Mahooti for his dry needling expertise. immediately after putting the needle in my muscle the muscle spasms dissipated and went away completely. I left the Dr's office without any symptoms for which i had seen him for. I did feel some more pain later that night and for a part of the next day. I was referred to Dr. Mahooti after developing full blown sciatica as a result of a muscle injury. My glute muscle was so twisted and tightened up that it caused issues in my piriformis, hamstrings, calf and heel...I was about 1/3 of the way into my training for the Boston Marathon and was limping and crying as a result of the pain. One session, (about 15 total sticks) and within 3 days the pain had subsided significantly...5 days after I was able to run 10.5 miles with practically no discomfort. Over the past couple of weeks, I have kept up with the stretching and foam rolling and my leg has continued to improve. I am now running 100% pain-free. His treatment is nothing short of magical! I have seen Dr. Mahooti several times for different muscular problems. I spent several years training for various athletic endurance events including marathons, half-marathons, Ironman and half-iron distance events. I have had slight lower back pain in the past but never so bad to stop me from my normal routine. Regular treatments of massage therapy gave me relief. I have suffered from severe back pain for 6 months due to exercise. It was immediate pain when I came to a hault in the middle of a jog and my back has not been the same since. I've been experiencing severe knee and foot pain for over a year. After several rounds of ortho visits and PT I had minimal improvement. My PCP recommended Dr. Mahooti who did several myofascial trigger point injections. The improvement was immediate. I did have some pain in the injection area later in the day but it subsided within 24 hours. I'm continuing with PT but this time to stretch my muscles instead of strengthening them. It's working.

went to Dr Mahooti for sciatic pain. I had been having epidurals to control pain, but was concerned about long term steroid use. A nurse friend recommended Dr Mahooti. One treatment and I am pain free. The injection was very mild and short in duration. Pain elimination was immediate. I highly recommend Dr. Mahooti!

He is very personable and explains your condition in detail. He makes good use of an ultrasound machine to diagnosis and treat.

I highly recommend Dr Mahooti for any muscular/sports medicine related issue. I have struggled with neck/shoulder pain for the past 20ish years and tried virtually every other treatment including physical therapy and chiropractic. Nothing has come close to the outcome that I've attained via Dr. Mahooti's treatment and guidance. I am markedly better such that I am working out and running pain free! It is simply incredible.
