Dr. Navreet K Sidhu, MD

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to so this as I was thinking of Dr Sidhu the other day and googles her name and found this site. Dr Sidhu treated my twins in NYC for nearly 7 years. When she left Columbia we were heartbroken and I know so many other families who were. We haven’t found a neurologist since her to treat my children with the same compassion and thoughtful decision making. I read some other reviews and I think they must be from families who don’t like to hear difficult news. Since she specializes in autism, I think many families can’t accept that diagnosis and talk bad about her because she is very honest. Her bedside manner is outstanding and she really cares for children like I have never seen another doctor do. I could go on and on about her. We are even considering flying to Atlanta once a year for a visit just because she is the best doctor. I can’t say enough good things so don’t listen to any other reviews here because they are wrong!!!

Dr. Sidhu is the most amazing neurologist we have ever seen. She has an excellent bedside manner and really makes children feel comfortable. she takes her time to explain things in detail. she does not jump to diagnoses quickly and is very thoughtful in her decision making. I would never take her to see any other neurologist as she is the best

This woman has the worst “bedside” manner I’ve ever seen. Instead of actually coming in and examining my child she told another doctor to “video tape”her so she didn’t have to leave. She then proceeded to not answer ANY of our questions and just said my daughter was completely fine and she was just a “crazy baby.” Go to Dr. Wolfe. He’s so much better and has amazing bedside manner. My daughter indeed wasn’t crazy and this lazy pathetic physican shouldn’t work with children.

We worked with Dr Sidhu for almost a year. During that time she was always eager to do “another study” but when it came to putting an action plan together for my child, she had little to no interest. Visit after visit we wanted to try medication or therapies but she kept waiting. As soon as we switched, another doctor took one look at him and recommended an ADHD treatment that basically saved my son’s life. Beware of wasting your child’s precious time with Dr Sidhu.

Dr. Sidhu is the best neurologist we have ever seen. I had to write a review about her which I don't usually do but after she left Columbia we wanted to follow her and I stumbled on this site and saw some reviews which bothered me so much that I had to say something, Dr. Sidhu is the most compassionate Neurologist we have seen. I think the people who say negative things about her on this site say that because she speaks very honestly and some people don't like to hear the truth. You cannot find a more kid friendly person who will truly care about your child. I would recommend her to anyone without reservation so please do yourself a favor and take your child to see her. We miss her as our neurologist and can't wait to see her again at her new practice location wherever it may be. We will follow her anywhere and I know several of my friends who I recommended her to will also follow her. She is the best child neurologist for our child and for so many others too. I cannot… say enough good things!

Not so great experiences with her. Didn't even seem to like my child. Prescribed all the wrong medications too.

I have already recommended Dr. Sidhu to other families who have a child on the spectrum. I chose her because of her Columbia affiliation and I wanted a physician who would look at the bigger picture and I felt she would. She surpassed our expectations across the board. My child presented with seizure like symptoms without having seizures. She listened carefully, she was insightful and her observations and detailed history taking were impressive. She spent an hour just discussing his history and asking us all of the right questions. She listened to our concerns and spared him an unnecessary EEG, which is torture for certain children on the spectrum. She is an outstanding, caring and compassionate doctor.

Dr. Sidhu was recommended by a trusted doctor, but we have been so disappointed with her. We have had at least 10 appointments with her and tried to make it work, but have decided to go to someone else. I don't know how others find her good with kids and maybe she's different with others, but I found her not at all warm with my child; in fact she seemed uncomfortable with my child. I think her choices were not as thoughtful about my particular child as I would have liked - it felt like she just worked within a pre-determined format, rather than the specific needs of my child. She also NEVER calls back, even after multiple attempts to communicate with her.

Dr. Sidhu is by far the best pediatric neurologist we have seen (and we have seen many). she is great with kids, especially those who are anxious. she is compassionate and on top of everything, really intelligent. We are so happy as we finally found a pediatric neurologist we want to stay with. We recommend her to anyone looking for a smart and caring doctor.
