Dr. Neha Vaitha, MD

Dr. Neha Vaitha knew she wanted to become a pediatrician at the age of 12 when her grandmother suffered a stroke. Spending time in the hospital inspired her to pursue a career in pediatric medicine, where she could make a difference in children's lives. Dr. Vaitha earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. She then completed her pediatric residency at Morehouse, gaining hands-on expBMCEnce managing routine and complex pediatric conditions. For over six years, she served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and urgent care pediatrician at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Emory University, one of Southeast's highest-acuity children's hospitals. Dr. Vaitha says the most rewarding part of her work is watching her young patients grow and thrive, developing long-term relationships with families. She also has a special interest in adolescent medicine, particularly mental health, and values teenagers' trust in her to discuss their well-being. Dr. Vaitha …believes listening to parents and children is the cornerstone of excellent pediatric care. She dedicates time to every visit, ensuring families feel heard and supported. Outside of work, Dr. Vaitha enjoys trail running, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children. She is also deeply passionate about charity work. In 2011, she co-founded Rise2Shine, a preschool in Haiti that has provided over 500,000 meals and healthcare services to malnourished children, ensuring access to early childhood education and medical care.
