I called Pomerado Hospital Urgent Care to get instruction on where to take my 19 year old son (SDSU student) to be seen for a list of cold/flu like symptoms. The person that answered the phone insisted that he had to be seen in a triage tent set up in front of the ER dept. that they would not accept him into Urgent Care. I drove my son to the ER and he went into the tent to tell them his symptoms. 8 days that began with fever, muscle stiffness, extreme headache, loss of appetite with very little improvement over the week and added diarrhea/coughing up dark colored plegm the last two days. Dr Tomaneng treated him like he was stupid for being there and his discharge paper says the reason for the visit was "Fever" No it was not!! Did they even take notes on his symptoms?So now I will receive an ER billing because the Urgent Care "receptionist" made me take my son to the ER and the ER did absolutely NOTHING except treat a young man like he's stupid on top of feeling terrible with… cold or flu. What is wrong with this Hospital and staff??????

I have never been treated with such disrespect by any doctor in my life! I will never forget your unprofessional behavior! I came into the ER feeling extremely sick, and he basically said there was nothing wrong with me. He said it was my depression. He made me cry in the hallway and was so insensitive to my mental illness. He laughed about me to another doctor and to the police officer that brought me in the second time. I later found out I had MRSA and that is why I felt so sick. And the medical records show none of what I am saying.
