Dr. Neil K Whiting, MD

Title says it all without tmi. Keep this “man” away from pediatric medicine.

Dr whiting delivered both of my children, one vaginal birth and one C section breech birth. This was a long time ago but I remember him as a kind and caring provider. I have different insurance now so I had to change doctors but I had good experiences with him and all providers at Medclinic..

Both my husband and myself would of loved to of had him care for our 4th pregnancy... but we had moved out of state. Should of traveled back to Sacramenro to have him deliver. What a mistake not to. Gave our son his middle name he imopressed us so.

Dr. Neil Whiting is the worst ever experience I had in my life! I was referred to him by the County, CMISP; didn't have a choice and a chance for a second opinion back then. He failed to provide me with a very basic consultation and options I had! I believed him that my only "treatment" is to get spayed - he used the word "sterilization" - a very popular procedure in a II World War concentration camps. I left his office, back then - on Folsom Blvd, next to Capitol - and prepared myself to die, such as mailing photos, old letters, gifts to friends and family all over the world; garage sale, visiting old-lost friends, etc. Guess what: I hit a Jackpot at UC Davis, couple blocks and a world away from Neil Whiting. My 4-lb tumor (and tumor only!) was removed, and I live to tell the story.

Dr. is very nice and spends time listening to what you have to say. He answered my questions and was very comforting when I was DX with cancer.

The previous post about him being great for paps....that's fine if that's all you're going for! You're in and out. If you're pregnant and looking for a doctor, look elsewhere. Terrible bedside manner and impersonal. I have left his office crying and felt like a burden! No doctor should make a patient feel like that.

The reviews below are pretty surprising to me, as I had a great experience with Dr. Whiting. Went to him for a yearly checkup after switching from Hills to Mercy Medical. I was easily able to book an appointment, the wait wasn't too bad, and I found Dr. Whiting very friendly and personable. He answered the questions that I had professionally, and I didn't feel rushed out.

TERRIBLE bedside manner. Shows little care for his patients. Does the bare minimum to find a diagnosis and is completely satisfied with sending you home with "there's nothing wrong with you", even though you are uncomfortable.
