Dr. Botwinick's expertise is in the treatment of disorders of the upper extremity, with a special interest in traumatic injury and fracture care. Dr. Botwinick holds a faculty appointment at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Botwinick serves as an advisor to multiple corporate entities with regard to ergonomics, proper work station design, and prevention of workplace injury. Dr. Botwinick is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Botwinick is a graduate of Brown University and New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at Bellevue Hospital and New York University and his orthopaedic surgical residency in the same institutions. He later went on to complete a Fellowship in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at New York University and Bellevue Hospital. Had trigger finger surgery and Dr Botwinick was careful to take his time and discuss and explain the surgery in detail. He is a pleasure to speak with about relatively complex procedures. He did the trigger finger surgery and it made a night and day difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend him based on his solid professional experienceas well as his terrific personality in discussing the options.

Dr. Botwinick is professional, courteous, compassionate and understanding. I would strongly encourage anyone that needs hand surgery to go to Dr. Botwinick. I had a procedure done on my thumb. You cannot tell that I had surgery; the incision is so fine. Also, the office is run efficiently and it is impeccably clean. The staff are lovely too! Thank you Dr. Botwinick and Alyse!

Dr.Botwinick has operated on me six times for a variety of injuries;shoulder reconstruction,ulnar nerve release,elbow fracture and carpal tunnel syndrome.This doctor has restored my quality of life and is in my estimation the most meticulous and gifted surgeon you could ever want to meet.His P.A.,Lisa,is extremely competent and caring;can't be beat.

I have been a patient of Dr Botwinick for 15 years. Every few years I get hurt, usually sports related. Every time he fixes me I am back to my old level of activity quickly. A great hand surgeon.I love the new office. Much nicer facility.
