Dr. Nelson Concep Deguzman, MD

He was my husband's doctor at the VA. My husband highly respected him and he always knew just to help my husband. It was truly an honor to have him take care of my husband.

I found from my experiences that he will avoid sending you to a specialist for most conditions. I don't know why he wouldn't want an ill patient to see the specialist who is respected in that field, but he doesn't seem to care.

I've been seeing Dr. Deguzman for the past three or four years here at the VA clinic in Redding. I've always gotten along well with him. He has always spent a lot of time with me when reviewing my chart and lab work. I think he's quite thorough and has always explained things clearly. I think if I had any issue understanding him he would probably make the extra effort to explain it better. But that hasn't been necessary. When I see him he always asks questions about my health and if I have had any issues that I want to discuss. Unlike the other review my experience has always been positive with doctor Deguzman. He's polite, never short, and always makes me feel like he's there for me, and he is. I trust him and I have no reason not to. He's had me on medication for a couple of years to deal with blood pressure and high cholesterol. Just yesterday I went in for my annual physical and all of my levels were very good and dramatically improved. I've also lost about 30… pounds in the process. I would credit Dr. Deguzman for my improved health because it was he who put me on the medications that have worked so well. Aside from all of that I think he's a nice guy.
