Dr Kalil is very pleasant with patients but his staff is a mess. Lazy in some cases, hostile in others, and worst of all, completely non-responsive to requests via phone, voicemail, etc.... Stay away unless you love to be frustrated!

Met him at Sibley Hospital following surgery for a leg blood clot. By following his advice and treatment, I've had no clot reoccurrences in almost five years. Dr. Kalil stays well informed and current in drug therapies and treatments. He is attentive and thorough during every office visit. I highly recommend him.

A truly wonderful doctor, caring, professional, with extensive knowledge on his subject and the ability to recommend treatment according to the patient's individual needs rather than group statistics. He gives his patients time, attention and the best care. Truly remarkable. Strongly recommend.

Dr. Kalil is a sales man once all he wants is for you to start chemo. After you start chemo he wont visit you when you're in the hospital even after his office tells you to go to the ER that he is there and has been paged. Other physicians in the practice also state that Dr Kalil wont let them treat his patients. If you have an emergency and he is not on call you're out of luck. According to his staff when Dr. Kalil makes changes to your chemo schedule you're responsible to call the staff and let them know. The only explanation for this is that the Dr doesn't document in charts well and there is a major divide in his office. in less then a month I have seen 2 nurses leave. Be warned!

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, frightened, devastated not knowing what to suspect. Being the rock of my family I had no one to lean on. Dr. Kalil was assigned as my oncologist in clinical trials at Franklin Square. He is not only an excellent doctor but a caring, warm and supportive person. I miss you!

He is the best

So refreshing to find an outstanding,dedicated,as well as compassionate doctor. Dr. Kalil is a doctor who takes the time to explain things, even writes things down for patients if they wish to remember. Having had several relatives &dear friends who have suffered from cancer,I can honestly say that I truly believe if Dr. Kalil had been their oncologist/hematologist they would be here today. Dr. Kalil's expertise is in numerous areas and his brilliance is well published as well. I speak as a daughter who researched many in his field for my mother who has stage 4 ovarian. I chose him for all the reasons I stated and through his dedication & aggressiveness my mother turned 90yrs December2012. The road has not been easy at times but Dr. Kalil has been there every step of the way. No matter how full his office is as his patient you think you're the only one. His commitment to his patients & yes their families is amazing! I would recommend Dr. Kalil for anyone and everyone who… wants to fight cancer with the best doctor possible. His nursing team, in office lab, chemo and infusion room make staying out hospital environment a winning combination. What a caring, kind, knowledgeable, talented doctor. Can't say enough good things about what a treasure he is to my husband Joe. Just what you would want in a doctor if you had a cancer with a poor prognosis. Compassionate is every way. Would choose him again and would highly recommend him. Nursing and office staff of the highest quality. Feel like a family!
