Dr. Nelson Glenn Woo

AWESOME is Dr. Nelson Woo, DMD, Endodontist in Holly Springs/Canton. He fit my emergency treatment in Monday afternoon. He's the gentleman who proved root canal should no longer be a scary nightmare He uses/does microscopic root canal therapy. He has nitrous (I think I used a tank or two due to anxiety/nerves) and headphones/tv - and a needed stress ball (so I didn't break the chair arm before anything was even done) AND all with a wonderful staff/assistants. The "profound anesthesia" that was used years back is no longer even an issue as there should be NO Profound pain, only minimal discomfort. His technique and ability is superb. About 15 years ago I had taken depositions in a dental malpractice case that involved root canals and it left me with too much information on the process, and that unfortunately left me with too much anxiety of what could go wrong. Combine that with childhood teeth breaking trauma and you have a stressed out wreck. Thank God, medicine and… technology has progressed and ended up in the hands of Dr. Woo. From his superior xrays where he clearly explains the process, to his outstanding calm and understanding demeanor, I went from "off the charts" to might even be able to sleep when I go back for next appointment. (I have now been back for the final "fill" on my root canal - had to wait for the infection to clear up - - And still an amazing experience) I'm known as sometimes a bit outspoken and direct; sometimes too much. Let me clearly say that this should should not only be on the top of your list for Endodontist, but is the ONLY one on my list. One final note, please remember that many problems caused by "others" may not be easily remedied by the professional who follows. No matter how good someone may be professionally, there are always unknowns or anomalies. Things do happen, at times for no known reason and all we can do is say a prayer and see the most competent professionals available. Dr. Woo and his staff are the only "go to" for an endodontist.
