Dr. Nga Thu Huynh, MD

Firstly, Dr. Huynh was extremely rude and condescending. She lacked a lot of empathy. Secondly, she said I just “had depression” but put me on antipsychotics. The whole time I thought I was on antidepressants because she did not otherwise mention any other mental illnesses that warranted antipsychotic meds. Every time I told her I did not like the medication and that it wasnt working, instead of listening, she just raised the dosage and disregarded my concerns and told me to “be grateful for what the medication is doing.” Then I was eventually put in the psych ward and on my discharge sheet I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder, despite the fact I was only 15 at the time. This all happened in 2017 and I have not seen her since.

She diagnosed my child with ADHD without any testing and put her on Strattera. We kept telling her that the meds were not working and she kept raising the dosage. Refused to change meds. My child ended up in the psychiatric hospital and was then diagnosed with bipolar. The hospital said she is not ADHD.
