I was seeing a midwife during my pregnancy, I met Dr. Tai to schedule a repeat CSection and have my tubes tide. There was a snag with the paperwork and I did not care for the way Dr. Tai spoke to me. She mentioned my age and being young for such a procedure (I'm in my mid 30's and my husband is in his 40's. This decision was made after many conversations and research. I shouldn't have to explain myself). Told me even if I got pregnant again, I would love the baby. That's not the point. I Do Not Want To Get Pregnant Again. She told me about the side affects of surgery if I were to get my tubes tied after I healed the C-section. I felt it was more of a scare tactic than an informative conversation. She also suggested my husband get a vasectomy instead of me getting my tubes tied. If that is something we wanted to do, it would be done. I was really upset about the conversation and thankfully my midwife was able to help me in the end.
