Dr. Nicholas Ralph Panaro, MD

Dr Panaro, said things to the insurance company about my office visit with him, that in my opinion, were either down right lies, or he does not know all injuries, when confronted with them. He tried, but did not succeed in making me look like a liar to the insurance company. Thank goodness other doctors agreed with my injuries being genuine. In the end, I was properly treated by other doctors,and in the end, I won my case against the insurance company.

Got pain? It's WORTH your while to get past Dr. Panero's seemingly 'cool' bedside manner during your consultation: i found he was actively listening to my case history, to what had been tried, to what worked, what didn't, etc, etc...; , then he asked me questions (and I remember thinking some didn't seem significant or contributory to my current condition), but I was WRONG! Dr. Panero AMAZED me! His "quiet listening" while I told him my case history wasn't "awkward silence" on his part, it was active listening. I totally mis-read him. After listening & gathering answers to his questions, Dr. Panero recapped my case, explaining how the answers I gave him to the seemingly insignificant questions were actually KEY to my current condition. In my case, Dr. Panero taught me that losing sleep due to pain set-off physiological reactions that made my pain "unmanageable"... . He was soo right. We got AHEAD of my pain, got it into proper perspective and then dealt with it where it was ACTUALLY… AT, not where my sleep-deprived mind "thought" it was at! Granted, going through another consultation after you've probably been "diagnosed" by a couple of doctors seems redundant BUT consulting with Dr Panero, letting HIM assess & diagnose the state of your current condition is SO important because there ARE various pain management strategies but their timing is equally important as the strategies themselves. So don't be fooled by Dr. Panero's "contemplative" manner; he's listening, which is a real RARITY in healthcare providers these days, but SO necessary. As he listens, he's applying himself & all his knowledge to formulating the best timing for the best pain management strategy for you based on your current condition. He's investing himself in your recovery..., so trust him!

He’s a terrible and rude person

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Panaro and it was not a pleasant experience. He was very rude and did not establish any eye contact when speaking to me. His rapport was non- existent. He spoke very quickly when explaining the test I had. He was insensitive and insulting. When I asked him one question he replied, "I thought you said that you were a teacher." " Did you not hear what I just said?" I was so shocked that I couldn't wait to get out of the office. I would never go to this Doctor again!

I have never been treated by a physician like this in my entire 61 years. When I received mixed messages on my treatment plan and test results and tried to clarify he was extremely inpatient with my questions, and condescending with comments and answers. He would interrupt me constantly when I would try to answer his questions and sometimes stating "yes or no, it is a simple question". He was very rude and has no social skills.

Dr Panero is a sexist pig!

I think this man has Aspergers. His social skills were non-existent.

Dr. Panaro has a delightful personality ... down to earth, very personable and explains everything. He took his time evaluating my mom, too. We were both very impressed with him.

Dr. Panaro is very compassionate and caring, honest and was realistic about setting my expectations on how long it would take for my pain to be relieved. Thankfully, his treatment plan worked for me and my lower back pain has been reduced a lot! I cant thank Dr. Mandel enough for helping me live a better life.

Dr Panaro is a good doctor in my opinion. The treatments he provided to me were very helpful with reducing my pain. He listened and answered all of my questions and also followed up afterwards to see how I was doing.
