Nicholas Tworek, Psy D

Before coming to Geisinger, Nicholas Tworek, PsyD, established a comprehensive psycho-oncology clinic in Louisiana. He brings this care model to Geisinger, caring for patients and their caregivers throughout cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Specifically, he specializes in the treatment of patients and caregivers with depression, anxiety and grief in the pursuit of enhanced psychological and physiological health. Originally from Canada, Dr. Tworek earned his degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where he specialized in clinical health psychology. With an initial focus on sport psychology, his interests expanded into behavioral medicine, interdisciplinary care and psycho-oncology. He completed internship and fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans with an emphasis on cancer care. In his free time, you can typically find him running, eating pierogi pizza, watching hockey or spending time with friends and family.
