Amazing work

Our 11-year old son had a relatively rare condition that required surgical correction. In our research online, we were lucky enough to find that PARC Urology is one of the more experienced practices for this procedure and was located within driving distance of Austin. Dr. Bush and the team at PARC Urology made an inherently scary experience for both young patient and parents straightforward and manageable. Dr. Bush explained the options in layman's terms, quantified the risks and possible corrective actions. The procedure went well and my son healed very well. (Side-note --- I strongly advise parents to consider the hyperbaric treatments before/after surgery, they really seemed to promote improved healing rate). As we lived several hours from Frisco, immediate follow-up was handled via weekly photo evaluations and phone consultations. A physical follow-up was conducted 90 days afterwards, everything was great. My son evidenced much less pain than I would have expected after such… procedure. From start to finish, our experience with Dr. Nicol Bush and PARC Urology was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend the practice to any parent needing such services.

Dr. Bush is so personable and sweet which is perfect for my child but at the same time she is professional and very detail oriented and explains everything to us so that we understand and are comfortable. Great bedside manner and the staff was great! The office is beautiful with flat screens and chalkboard walls and iPad stands and everyone is happy! And there are lolly pops at check out! I definitely reccomend her.

My child is autistic and has some other difficulties and had to have surgery awhile back. With the travel and everything I know it can be difficult but Dr. Bush is so patient and gentle while at the same time very medical. I never doubt that she knows exactly where to go next, the best treatment possible, and she articulates all of it to me in a way I can understand it without getting overwhelmed. With traveling and having an autistic child adding surgery into the mix would seem stressful but the way she is and the way she runs her office puts everything at ease. They call you and keep you up to speed so there aren't any surprises...I like how she does things. It's calming and my child responds well to her.

I forgot to come back and write my second review. The surgery went great. Jo-jo can use the rest room normally and the issues he was having has been taken care of. Dr. Bush and the hospital staff was amazing... extremely thoughtful and trustworthy. Jo-jo's first and hopefully ONLY surgery was made as painless as possible. Follow up appointment was quick and excellent. Jo-jo still has to follow up again in a month (6 months from the date of the post op). Everyone that works with Dr Bush in this facility are friendly, helpful and patient with Jo-jo and myself. Very kid friendly.

First opinion of Dr Bush was awesome. She came in and greeted Jo-jo first... she was respectful and polite. But most importantly, she was VERY knowledgeable about the problem he is having and she reassured both of us that she was going to do everything she could to make sure it's taken care of as soon as possible. Another thing that struck a "happy" cord in me.... was she explained what she was doing to him before she did it. And made sure he knew she was only looking at him (in that area) because she was a doctor and I was there. Then proceeded to explain that no one else was supposed to touch/look there unless it was a doctor and someone he trusted was with him. I appreciated her thoughtfulness and obvious caring and concern she showed. I will write another review after the surgery in a month. :)
