Dr. Nicole Banks, MD

I saw Dr. Banks for about 1 1/2 years. This was the first fertility specialist that I worked with so I did not know much about the process of IUI including different options regarding medications, etc. I wish I had known more because, unfortunately, we wasted ALOT of money trying IUI 7 times. Seven failed IUI’s all together and Dr. Banks did not try ANYTHING different for any cycle. I asked several times if there was any medication that we could use to help success rates and she continuously said no. After seven failed attempts, I switched providers and my new provider was very surprised that Dr. Banks did not try more options. My very first cycle with my new doctor, I used daily injections (Gonal- F), a trigger shot (Orvidel) and after the IUI procedure, vaginal progesterone. I wish I had known that all of these things were options before wasting so much money on the same treatment regimen 7 times. I write this to share my experience and hope that someone else learns something.
