Classless trash? Egomaniac jerk? Unethical punk? I had a horrible experience with this doctor. First of all, she was so rude and disrespectful to me. Someone needs to knock her off her high horse. She treated me like I was less than a human being. Oh, and don't even get me started on the accuracy of her diagnosis! She is really in love with herself. If you want respect, good care, and competency I suggest you look elsewhere. She can handle the easy cases like simple acne, but if you have anything more complicated then it seems a bit challenging for her.

I was referred to Dr. Burkemper for testing. A resident and med student ( yes I know it is a teaching hospital) did everything and Dr Burkemper spent maybe 2 minutes max with me! I had to call the office with a question and the resident responded and office staff then told me to direct any questions to my "normal" doctor.

The doctor treated me for a skin infection. One of the tests she sent to the lab cost me almost $500. My insurance wouldn't pay for any of it because it isn't approved by the FDA. One of the residents working with her kept trying to find other things wrong with me. It made me very nervous. I would not recommend her.
