Dr. Charbonnet is very kind and knowledgable. She presents all options for YOU, the patient, to choose. Her opinions are offered softly. Best GYN I’ve ever visited.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Charbonnet. I had a complicated medical history, but I now have a beautiful baby girl. Dr. Charbonnet always took the time to reassure me of my concerns. I always felt cared for, and she went above and beyond to make my family I have an amazing experience. I highly recommend her.

Dr Charbonnet was SO SO SO rude. I moved to New Orleans when I was late in my pregnancy so I only saw her for about 8 weeks but obviously had multiple appointments during that time. My husband didn’t attend the appointments because he had work and I didn’t feel the need for him to take off work just to watch them check how dilated I was... she walked in to my delivery of my first baby (literally the happiest and most exciting time of my life) and instead of saying hi, she looks at my husband and says, “oh that’s nice, you DO exist!” Like are you kidding? How rude. This is the best moment of my entire life and you’re making a jab. Not even that, she did always make me feel dumb for asking questions and throughout my appointments she told me I had gained too much / more than average weight and that I may never lose it all (I did so ha!). Anyway- if you’re looking for someone with good bedside manner, stay away. Far, far away. Medically? She did a good job delivering my baby, but I… just prefer someone nicer and willing to cherish the exciting time with you. She was NOT that.

I had two miss-carriages while under her care, she blamed both on me from my weight to my HBP... I switch doctors, I was high risk I had a soft cervix... need a stitch to help me carry.. I am a mother of a beautiful little boy now. She dropped the ball cause she only like to deal with easy pregnancy. Shame on her!

I use to think dr. Charbonnet was a really good doctor, but after recent events in my life that have caused changes with my fertility, she now seems aggravated with me and very insensitive. My last visit with her, she gave me some uncomfortable news and I even started to cry, and her response to me was “oh come on, you know you have a problem!” After that, I made up my mind I will be seeking another doctor. Oh, and let’s not even get on her nurse Carolyn. She is extremely rude. She called me with an attitude several times, on time even hanging up in my face, and constantly talking over me. If anything, doc has been very rushed and rude lately, but she definitely needs to get rid of Carolyn.

Dr. Charbonnet dissuaded me from getting a laparoscopy to confirm endometriosis (after 3 other OBs had suggested doing so) and instead suggested an IUD to control any potential endometriosis. So I got the IUD. A month later, I had the most severe contraction-like pin of my life. I went to the ER and she was the OB on call. She said that I had an ovarian cyst, and that IUDs make cysts worse. So she said I should remove the IUD. So which is it? IUD or no IUD? To make it worse she dismissed my pain entirely. It was the worst pain of my life. In the ER I was given morphine in multiple doses. And she sent me hone with ibuprofen. How is that supposed to help me? She of course brought up that narcotics are addictive. Which everyone knows! But clearly I needed more than OTC. I am furious. She has no compassion and no idea what she is doing. STAY AWAY.

Much like the other comments I found her horrible rude, condescending and rushed. She did NOT listen to me, talked over me. So frustrating. I am driving a longer distance now to see my previous GYN whom I love!

If you are newly pregnant and looking for an ob, please stay away from this lady. Especially if you are considered high risk! She may be knowledgeable but her delivery is horrible. She overtalks her patients and does not listen to their needs. I was a high risk, pregnant with twins and she was nonchalant about everything I tried to tell her or downplayed my concerns as if they were nothing. My appointments were spaced out 4-6 weeks at times. Long story short, I ended up miscarrying due to my cervix opening too early and it not being monitored the way a high risk pregnancy is monitored. She sucks as a dr with no manners or compassion what so ever!

Dr. Charbonnet did not listen to me during out appointment. I tried to call her several times following and she would not return my call and had me schedule to come in when it was a very simple question. She had an attitude problem. I have rescheduled with a different physician that I used to see.

During my pregnancy I hated Dr Charbonette. The second she delivered my 11 pound baby girl my attitude changed completely. We would not be healthier or happier. Dr Charbonette has no bedside manner, but is amazing where it counts. How many of us can say that we are friends with our doctors? Wouldn't you rather the best doctor over a friendly doctor? After having my baby I am fully convinced I would rather the best doctor. I had that. Dr Charbonette would be a great choice as your gynecologist. I plan to have a second baby very soon and I could not imagine another doctor next to me when that child is born.
