Dr. Nicole Marie Gress, MD

I have only been seeing Dr. Gress as of this year, and only for an annual exam thus far. Recently, I’ve been having complications in early pregnancy (5 weeks), and have only been told to go to the ER (positive pregnancy test and bleeding) and then see them at 8 weeks. I needed a second opinion, so I went to my GP who ordered more labs, which showed a abnormality in HCG, meaning something may be going on. I reported the lab work to Dr. Gress’ office, and I was followed up by a nurse who sounded annoyed with my concerns. Due to my abnormal labs ordered by my GP, they ended up ordering more. I asked to make an appointment for 6 weeks gestation, and they said “we’ll see what your labs say”. I have a lot of anxiety over what is going on, and have not heard from Dr. Gress at all. No phone call after my ER visit, no phone call after abnormal lab values and a disappointing and impersonal conversation. No offer for me to come in to the office. Nothing to reassure me that they… are following me as a patient with concerns. Definitely no compassion. I am still a patient here and am holding out hope that they had a bad week and will come around. I am very close to finding someone else. My GP has called me several times to check in on me and ask if there are any questions she can answer or any help she can provide. That is personal healthcare. Should things still go wrong with Dr. Gress’ office, I will be seeking a new OB/GYN. I will update as things progress.

So, I have spoken with the nurse there and she helped me out tremendously. She came up with a plan so I could pre-book all my appointments with Dr.Gress. Also, she made it a point to discuss the lateness regarding appointments and to address the issues with the front desk staff. This was really great customer service on their part especially because it was done their lunch break. I will be staying with this doctor now. I feel much more appreciated as a patient. It is nice to know that they are willing to take the time to listen to my concerns.

THIRD BABY AND JUST NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL WITH THE SERVICE. I DEF FEEL LIKE JUST ANOTHER NAME ON THE BOOKS/.

I am so happy to have found Dr. Gress. Proud to call her my physician.

she is fantastic! Delivered my baby boy and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else. Spends lots of time listening to your questions, no matter how busy

Dr. Gress has delivered my last two children and I am so happy that she did. When I would go in for an appointment in the office usually I wouldn't have to wait too long. There was two appointments that had to be rescheduled due to her delivering babies in the hospital at the time of my appointment. One of the appointments they gave me the option of seeing a different doctor, (Dr. Ka) and she was pretty nice as well, the second time I just rescheduled. The reason why I go back to Dr. Gress is because of her calm and encouraging demeanor in the delivery room. With my first delivery a ended up with a bad nurse, (pushy, self-centered, on edge) and as I was pushing, the nurse started to (in my opinion) get panicked and start to tell me what to do. Dr. Gress stayed focused on me and my needs and helped me to deliver in a calm manner. She was encouraging and confident. After the delivery she explained everything to me post delivery, as far as the placenta, tears, and stitches. The only… thing that I didn't care for the entire time I was seeing her, is that she will do a lot of tests. I know for some women pregnancy can be a little scary. But if I would complain about a minor ailment, (numbness, lumps) she would recommend getting my blood drawn or getting an ultrasound. Which would have been good if I was a worry wort, but both times it ended up being nothing major. And I would have rather skipped the tests and saved myself a couple hundred dollars paying out of pocket for the tests. Overall Dr. Gress is great! She is friendly, calm, and will take the time to answer your questions.

After being told at my initial ultrasound by an ultrasound tech that I was having twins, went to Dr .Gress for confirmation. To my dismay, she claimed only one baby on board after her ultrasound. Imagine my surprise when during my 16 week ultrasound at a 3d ultrasound spa I was told that yes, sure enough there were twins in there. Maybe if she would have spent more time with me instead of rushing she wouldn't have missed such an obvious issue. Needless to say switched doctors mid pregnancy

Dr. Gress is great and always answers my questions but visits are very short. She does always seem in a rush. The office is a mess and they have horrible communication. They lose scripts, dont return phone calls, and dont fax documents when they say they are going to. I really like her but the office staff is making me want to switch doctors becuase I'm sick of dealing with their inability to do their jobs.

I started seeing Dr Gress after a stay at Silver Cross. I think she is wonderful. She explained all of my options and then helped me deicde what was the best plan of attack. I have been to the office twice now and have to say the stuff was not rude at all. The office does tend to be very busy.

I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and have a pretty bad experience so far. I have seen dr gress twice. Yet scheduled 6 appointments. I had an appointment and the office called me to reschedule for the following day after my appointment. I went in on the new day for my appointment only to be told I have to reschedule again. Made a new appointment and was just called the day before my appointment to reschedule once again. I understand babies are born unexpectedly, but have in mind other people have things to do and schedule appointments when they are at their convience. When I go into the office I spend less than 5 mintutes with the dr each time and always seems like she is too busy for me..the office staff is incredibly rude, and don't care for you. Wouldn't recommed her or obstetrics in women's health.
