Dr. Nicole Nisly, MD

Dr. Nisly is a wonderful physician and person. However, if you have a problem come up it's impossible to get an appointment with her (as it is with all the really good doctors at U of I.) Thus, it is very difficult to have continuity. In my opinion this is a big problem with U of I internal medicine and U of I family care in general.

I had been telling a number of docs that I couldnt drink enough to be comfortable affecting eyes and mouth and even breathing. It was suggested more than once I was in need of therapy only. She said I had Sicca right off the bat and sent me for testing that confirmed Sjogrens Primary version. Now she is NOT a Rheumy so this stunned my family doc who was one of the docs who was assuming I was a hypochondriac. She is also a firm believer in alternative medicine so I can discuss these options and know she will have some. She is widely know for her incredible knowledge base.
