Dr. Nicole Sharon Wellbaum, MD

This was my first visit since living in North Carolina. Dr Welbaum and her assistants were very kind and very thorough. I felt very comfortable having personal conversations with her. She did not have to do any specific procedures, but just my annual exam and was informative of everything that she was doing. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Wellbaum exceeded my expectations. If you are childfree and want to get your tubes removed, go to her. She took me seriously the whole time. When she got sick before my initial surgery date, she personally reached out to me. She was excited with me about this surgery. On the day of surgery, she and her whole team were super nice and made sure I was comfortable. Also she’s been quick to answer my recovery related questions. I’ve been recommending her to all my friends who want to get their tubes removed.

This doctor cannot be trusted! During my first annual exam at her clinic, she performed a cervical procedure I did not consent to along with my Pap. She led me to believe it was a minor procedure and sent me home with no special care instructions. I spent the next several days in severe pain with many concerning side effects while she and her staff ignored my calls and gave me no clear answers. Another ObGyn I followed up with explained this was in fact a major procedure requiring 2-4 weeks of lifestyle restrictions as well as a violation of my right to consent. That second doctor has now kindly resolved the complication from the original procedure with multiple rounds of antibiotics (plus additional meds for the side effects of those drugs)...so not worth it! Find another doctor who respects their patients!
