Dr. Niketa Vinod Govindani, MD

We delivered our second baby with Dr Govindani and we had a wonderful experience with her. During labor in the hospital she kept checking up on my progress with the nurses every few hours, and instructing them on the next steps knowing my case. She came in time to check up on me when I was nearing full dilation and once the baby's head was visible came to instruct me on specific ways and times to push, with kindness and patience, so as to feel motivated, not tire myself and keep the tears to a minimum. I had a very smooth delivery thanks to Dr Govindani and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to deliver at Hackensack hospital.

I am in healthcare myself as well as fellow co- workers who use to see her. Prior to her going into practice on her own she was great. Now her office is messy. If you are waiting for results you will wait forever! Trust me it will catch up to her, she will have something she overlooked that can put a patients health at risk.. I have been a nurse for 23 years, and have never dealt with my experience with her, as other co-workers.. so good luck if you go to her, just make sure you have another GYN who is more attentive a d gets back to you in a timely manner. I am very disappointed!

DrG has been amazing from the day I first met her! The connection she made with me brought me to tears on our first visit. Every time we went we were updated on why we were having ultrasounds/bloodwork and visits. She made us feel comfortable and we trusted her. I had to have a c section, which btw the way she closed me up you can barely tell I had it! she visited daily and made sure I was getting the proper care and even for my post partem visit it went smoothly. Anita is her nurse and runs that office! She’s just as caring as DrG. The phlebotomist is a sweet young lady that has a light hand for those that are scared of needles like myself. DrG always said “you let me do the worrying” If I could I would have 300 babies just to have them with her!

She is wonderful. Spent a long time with me as a cried my eyes out over issues I had been having with my menstrual cycle and breasts. She was kind, non judgmental and extremely patient.

I've been through 2 pregnancies with Dr. Govindani, one of them being high risk. Her calm presence and incredible patience made me feel so comfortable with her at each visit. She is easy to talk to, keeps you informed about all of the steps of pregnancy care, and answers all of your questions. I actually look forward to visits!

My experience with Dr. Niketa V Govindani has always been a good one. She is professional and caring. However, since Dr. Govindani changed location and staff, my experience with her receptionist, Anita, has being another one. I have made two different attempts to have an appointment with Dr. Govindani (taking days off from work) ,and the two times, Anita tells me my appointments have been, first moved and second, cancelled. No notifications of any form. I told Anita to please always call me at my cell phone so I can get notifications of this type and again no notifications of my canceled appointment. Anita does not know how to properly handle appointments, neither how to treat clients. Sad that I have to find another doctor thanks to Anita's unprofessional treatment.

Dr. G is the best OB ever. She is kind, caring, and so down to earth. She was so supportive throughout my entire pregnancy and made delivery a relaxing, wonderful experience. As a health professional, I can't recommend her enough!

Stay away! She is rude! I had the misfortune of having her deliver my child because my doctor didn’t make it on time to the hospital. She was arguing with me during labor, stressing me out. & When my baby was born my mom didn’t even get to cut the cord because she cut it herself before we even had a chance to realize?

During my very high risk pregnancy, Dr. Govindani did not once waiver in her dedication to getting us through a very scary pregnancy. She called specialists herself to make appointments for me, she followed up with personal calls to us on weekends, at night, and middle of the day to keep us updated. We are so blessed to have met her and will always be grateful to her for the care she gave us. Highly recommend her anyone who is undecided on pregnancy care!

Dr. Govindani had not even asked us for check ups, she did inform that we should not be visiting office. After C section delivery she did ask us to remove the stitch paper at our own. Pathetic service no care at all.
