I have never seen or been to a doctor who is more caring to your needs then dr. apte. I would recommend him to anyone for medical. I wouldn't go to anyone after having him now. I trust all answers he gives

After having five back spasms within 6 months, I sought help from Dr. Apte. I listed long-term symptoms and short-term symptoms. One of the things I noticed when having severe episodes of diarrhea, slurred speech, muscle spasms and hypothermia was that I would get angry quite easily. Dr. Apte focused in on this last, single symptom and recommended anti-depressants. He completely neglected the possibility of some disorder causing my recent and severe symptoms. I cannot recommend Dr. Apte and have switched family physicians.

If I could give less than one star I would. Nikhol Apte is the WORST. If you have other options, take them. My mom is completely physically handicapped, but is completely fine mentally. Dr. Apte tried to convince my mother that her quality of life is bad, and she should consider a DNR. REALLY? This is how we speak to the elderly? As she sat there with tears streaming down her face, as he told her basically, that she didnt have a reason to live, i told him to never EVER talk to my Mom like that again. In addition, whenever the pharmacy tries to reach his office for approval on a refill, it takes me calling to complain after my pharmacy has faxed the request 2 or more times. The office manager is nice and helpful, once I can actually talk to her.

He is friendly and likeable. He seems competent but not proactive at all. You need to know what to ask for, else you get little help. He will seldom suggest tests that might be appropriate.
