Dr. Nikisha Quanette Richards, MD

I am a retired Operating Room nurse and was having lunch with several other current and retired OR nurses. Because I was contemplating a bilateral blephroplasty, I asked who performed the best procedure and got a resounding Dr Richard’s, so made my appointment and had my surgery last week. I am very pleased with the whole experience. Dr Richards and her staff get a resounding 10 from me.

Dr.Richards, I’ve seen her twice , she has a poor bed side manner , and was dismissive and very rude . She left me in the examination room 1 hr while she says she went to find tweezers . She may have an outstanding education , but could use a lot of work on bedside manner . I do not recommend her.

Dr. Richards is outstanding. I have dealt with severe dry eyes for a long time because my eyes don't make tears. Over time, my eyelids drooped terribly, impairing my vision. Not only did she help me manage my dry eyes, but she also raised my eyelids, and while there was great concern that my eyes would become severely drier after the procedure, somehow they improved! I am more than grateful for the care I received and highly recommend Dr. Richards to anyone looking for a trusted Ophthalmologist. Bless you, Dr. Richards!

Since Medicare was paying for my eyelid lift because my vision was so severely impaired, Dr. Richards made sure I understood the procedure, including what to expect on the day of surgery and during recovery. All went as she predicted. I can't say enough about how comfortable both she and the staff made me feel, and about how happy I am with the outcome.

Excellent! Dr. Richards recently performed significant eye surgery for me. As part of the VCU-MCV team she was already aware of my medical issues prior to my initial visit. Her staff is efficient and customer friendly. When I did call with a question, the staff responded immediately. I have had two years of treatments with other doctors at VCU-MCV and all calls are returned immediately. Dr. Richards has a wonderful disposition and is a credit to her profession. I've just completed my recuperation from the surgery with 100% success! I'd recommend Dr. Richards and MCV-VCU and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
