Dr. Nilufer A Guleyupoglu, MD

Dr. Guleyupoglu is caring, kind and compassionate. She puts her patients first and really cares about their well-being. She's helped me through many difficult and painful times in my life, going out of her way to make sure she's done everything in her ability to help.

I found Dr. Guleyupoglu many years ago. My wonderful PCP referred me to her for treatment of my chronic back, legs and neck pain which caused me to often be sleepless, miserable and at times, bedridden. I am unable to take most pain medications as they make me seriously nauseated. The last thing I want to do when I'm attempting to deal with severe pain is to throw-up. "Dr. G", as she's usually called, examined me more thoroughly than anyone except my PCP ever had. She was empathetic and sympathetic to my plight and through a combination of treatments has helped me lower my experienced pain and live in a better way with my conditions. I moved to Westchester 5 years ago and did look for a pain doctor closer to home. After visiting 5 different doctors, being examined and evaluated by them, I decided not to let anyone but Dr. G ever touch my spine. So I travel to Manhattan and feel that I have the best of the best when it comes to pain control treatment. Dr. Guleyupoglu is an absolute… gem and I can only praise her and recommend that other pain sufferers make an appointment asap.

Dr G. is wonderful, smart and will not prescribe treatments just to bill insurance. She will work to ensure you get the best care. I've seen the bad reviews, but I can't agree with them. If you're not a drug addict then you will get the highest quality care from a great doctor.

I have had back pain for more than a year and have had very little success with a doctor helping to alleviate the pain. After seeing Dr. G she was able to help me with my pain and get me where i needed to be in order to function daily. She is AMAZING and caring and super knowledgeable.

Gosh, I hope she not still practicing. What a horrible, uncaring person. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mt. Sinai/Beth Israel fired her. You’ve been warned.

Horrible doctor. Makes things worse. She's scatterbrained and a liability. Prescribes wrong meds and is devoted to misdiagnoses. She suddenly left Mt. Sinai under questionable circumstances, so there's that. Now she's able to fool new patients in her new practice. Go elsewhere.

Dr. G has helped me immensely in dealing with the severe arthritic pain in my hips. I'm dismayed at some of the other reviews because my experience has been completely different! I have found her to be warm and a good listener. She worked out an effective pain management protocol for means spent time explaining the medical rationale for my regimen. It is true, however, that this is a very busy office and so wait time can sometimes be lengthy. However, I have had only good experiences interacting with Dr. G and her staff.

This is the worst "doctor" and office management I have ever experienced. Here are some words the perfectly describe this circus: Uninformed, detached, over-extended. Lack of concern for patients' welfare. Nonexistent communication and follow-up. Constant misdiagnoses. Aloof. Arrogant. Zero listening skills, in management and medical care. This is just the tip of the iceberg! Shame on this farce.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH DR AND OFFICE MANAGER. ALL WERE RUDE AND ALSO MISDIAGNOSED. They run the office just to make money---take more patients than time for in a day. Budget entire day to see Dr--horrible people work here. AVOID and report.

Runs a cash-grab operation. Rarely meets with her patients. Does way to many injection procedures. Has almost mistakenly injected the WRONG AREA of my body on more than one occasion! That says all you need to know.
