Dr. Neel Mehta, MD

Dr.Mehta’s assistant and staff were very cordial.His assistant explained to me what the assessment entails.Soon after Dr.Mehta introduced himself.We had an interactive discussion,I will continue to seek him out for further care.

I arrived on time I waited for Dr Metha as he was seeing another patient. A nurse or medical assistant took my O2 and Blood pressure. Dr Metha came in. I had a nice visit and I was very satisfied. One important things I learned from my father is your relationship with your patients. As a patient and physician as well I think I established a good relationship with Dr Metha . I tho k we get along well. I left the office happy

His residence/fellowship docs gave me the pain injections instead. Dr Mehta should have given them to me. He also doesn’t spend time with you. He spent about 5 minutes with me, and said he needed to go another patient or a meeting.

Dr. Mehta asked the right questions - and all the questions unlike other MD's I've seen for my condition. He's actually defining what the issue is and how to address it and not just jumping into treatments. He's sending me for further imaging studies in order to see what the current conditions are and how he might best help. Other doctors made assumptions based on incomplete information and jumped right into treatments - none of which helped. I'm much more comfortable with a doctor who really looks for the cause of an issue before deciding how to treat it - rather than just "lets try this.." sort of medicine.

Doesn’t spend the time with you. He’s constantly looking at his computer while you’re with him, and in a rush to get out of the room as fast as possible.

Prompt and clear on explanations

He doesn’t examine you. It’s interesting that he went to medical school just to listen to people without examining them if they’re in pain. I also don’t think he’s a good diagnostician saw for a few years and has not been able to help me. Somehow he made it to the top of Weill Cornell and I cannot fathom how?!

When I first went to him he was kind of attentive, but he didn’t really examine me that much. It was in the beginning during Covid. Second visit to examine me at all told me to go out for physical therapy and then try an MRI. I’ve never heard of a Doctor Who specializes in this field who doesn’t examine patients. Also when I had a telehealth with him didn’t even look at me once was just typing on the computer the whole time. And then he said he had to go to another patient. I agree with the other negative reviews of how he even became a doctor.
