Dr. Akhavan mde me feel like a drug seeker mainly because of my skin color. He didn't help me at all. He is getting kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies like the makers of prozac and adderal. In addition to this Dr. AKHAVAN presses upon an intensive outpatient program even if the patient doesn't need it This man should not be a doctor, he should not be trusted, and he should not be licensed. STEER CLEAR

This child psychiatrist is one of the best that I've ever seen. He started treating my son when he was 15 years old for ADHD and dysgraphia. My son is now at college Phi Beta Kappa

I met with him when I was in weak mental health, seeking help for my anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Rather than exercise the slightest bit of empathy, compassion, or understanding, he immediately belittled me on a BORDERLINE VERBALLY ABUSIVE level. He spoke to me like a child, telling me about my condition rather than listening to what I had to say. He tried forcing an unfamiliar medication on me, he told me I was misdiagnosed and could actually be bipolar (which, I am not, as I have met with many other doctors). He was rude, judgmental, and mysogynist. I wouldn't recommend him to my enemies. I ran out of the office crying. It was by far the worst appointment I've ever had with a doctor. To any ladies feeling weak, trying their best to seek help in a safe environment, be warned. This man will make you feel worse. I will add this though: His nurse is a godsend, and the kindest I've ever had to deal with.

I think he is fabulous. He listens nonjudgmentally and seems to really care about helping his patients. He has a sense of humor which I think is unusual in a lot of psychiatrists. He remembers what you tell him, and he is totally on top of medications, what works, and how they interact. He has helped me a lot. Unlike most Kaiser psychiatrists he actually talks to you and doesn't just toss meds at you and shove you out the door.

Dr. A is the best, he saved our family.
