Dr. Ninad Dabadghav, MD (G 60557) failed to comply with the Medical Board of California Expert Reviewer Guidelines while serving as an expert reviewer. The Guidelines state: “It is also very important to make sure that you have experience with the procedure or treatment at issue during the period of the alleged misconduct.” MBC Expert-reviewer-guidelines They further instruct reviewers to confirm their specialty match and qualifications and to notify the investigator if they “have not had experience actually treating the condition or performing the procedure.” MBC Expert-reviewer-guidelines The Guidelines also require that if vital information is missing, the reviewer must not complete the report: reviewers must request missing materials and “not complete your report until the missing information is received.” MBC Expert-reviewer-guidelines Dr. Dabadghav is a general surgeon and does not perform or have training, credentials, or privileges in gynecologic oncology, advanced… gynecologic laparoscopy, or aortic lymphadenectomy for uterine cancer. Despite this, he reviewed complex gynecologic oncology procedures outside his specialty. He also practices in a highly structured HMO system and evaluated care delivered in a community-hospital setting using a different practice framework, which does not reflect the “same or similar circumstances” required for standard-of-care evaluation. An appropriately matched specialist reviewer would have recognized that the care met community-hospital standards. Because expert reviewer opinions heavily influence disciplinary outcomes, adherence to the Expert Reviewer Guidelines is essential. Very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He explained everything clearly and concisely about the risks of postponing a needed surgery which I was hoping to do and he did so without any drama or pushiness. I had the surgery the next day The pain was minimal, just discomfort with no need for pain meds. I found Dr Ninad Dabadghav very approachable and willing to answer my questions and concerns before and after surgery Was most blessed to have him as my surgeon in an emergency situation. Excellent doctor.

Dr. Debadghav performed a full pilonidal cyst excision (closed wound with a drain and bolster attached). Having browsed the web for thousands of negative reviews for the type of surgery, I feared the worst but was thrilled with the outstanding level of care and support starting from initial consultation through surgery and post-op recovery. He is a phenomenal surgeon! I highly reccomend him.

Dr. Dabadghav saved my life. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Dr. D. developed and executed surgical treatment that removed both tumors within my pancreas, guided us through some difficult decisions regarding type and extent of treatment, and followed up and corrected side effects of the treatment. While Dr. D. can be more forthcoming with information, he was always ready to spend time and answer questions that we had about my condition and treatment.
