Dr. Niraj Kumar Gupta, MD

I love Dr Gupta. He is professional, kind and certainly up to date on the latest cancer treatments. He is patient and takes the time to answer all my and my families questions. Cancer is a very scary diagnosis and Dr Gupta is honest but also very reassuring in going over all your options and what treatments are available. He has a great sense of humor and does his best to relax and reassure his patients. I feel blessed to have him as my Oncologist.

In the course of 8 months of treatment, he met with me 3x face to face for a total of maybe 30 minutes. Talks over you, doesn't listen, rushes you. Gave me 6 months and told I'd be on lifetime chemo. 1st, diagnosed me wrong, 2nd not on lifetime chemo and 3rd it's been 2 years now. He strips all hope. Then when you have issues, won't order the tests you need bc "it's not time" and he "don't think " the cancer came back despite other physicians saying otherwise. Worst experience of my life. He doesn't seem to care that you are dying as long as he's getting in as many patients as possible to make that $. Shame on him and his whole office!

I was with my sick daughter to see Dr Gupta at St Vincent hospital facility and very much impressed with his bedside manners not only to my daughter as a patient but also to the family members of his patient. He is an intelligent doctor and explains things very well. He makes us feel like we are in good hands of a very professional physician .

I was diagnosed with a rare breast cancer Metaplastic Spindle Cell , Only 1% of women have this . I met Dr Gupta after meeting another oncologist that said I would not live more that a few years . I had an appointment with his associate and when I told him what the other Dr told me , he asked me to wait for a moment . Dr Gupta came in introduced himself and we talked . I felt at ease immediately . He said no cancer is curable but mine could be successfully treated . I asked point blank if he even knew about my type . He was well versed in my type and told me I was the one who could make a huge effect on my recovery . I appreciate him so much and I would recommend him to anyone with cancer ! He is an amazing Dr , always spent time with me during infusions , called me for follow ups after my chemo days . We even started calling my chemo days " going to Club Gupta " because he and his staff made it so much more bearable !!!

Dr. Gupta and his staff were very caring and always responsive to me during treatment of my stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I was impressed with how fast testing was completed to get my diagnosis. I would highly recommend Dr. Gupta and his staff.

Dr. Gupta is a great doctor! My family Dr. referred me to Dr. Gupta when I had symptoms of Leukemia and he indicated that he was the smartest Dr. he knows. I AGREE!I would have no problem telling anyone diagnosed with cancer to see Dr. Gupta.He is extremely caring, gives me all of the information I need and goes out of his way to do extra research (even on his days off) to help determine the best treatment for me.

Dr. Gupta is very personable and spends a great deal of time with me and answers all my questions. I like his confidence based on his exceptional credentials. He put a plan together to treat my HER2 cancer that was exactly what the Mayo Clinic recommended. I am in great hands and other medical professionals have a high degree of respect for Dr. Gupta. He calls me at home after each chemo to check on me! He listens to me and has aligned with me to be cancer free.
