Dr. Niraj Chandrakan Patel, MD

I went to dr Patel after being treated with another gynecologist for ONE YEAR of non-stop bacterias, which they still can’t get rid of them. So I decided to go for a second opinion (dr Patel) They tried giving me something (boric acid which I already tried it and didn’t help me ). After suffering of constant pain, I decided to talk to another doctor who I know already (in another country) and they diagnosed me with a cystitis. I went back to Patel to consult him about the diagnostic which he also agreed on!! On my second visit he did think I had a cystitis , so they both agreed on something .He said until I did a cystoscopy he would not give me any treatment or help. So took the easy way out….he send me to a urologist who didn’t even test me on nothing! All he said is that I have a cystitis as well and that there is NO cure and no treatment . He wanted to do a cystoscopy on me .and the most unprofessional thing he did was write all his notes ON A PIECE OF TISSUE and gave it to me,… what kind of doctor is that ? A cystoscopy is a very invasive procedure that I do not need at this moment after ONE YEAR of pain. So I went back to dr Patel for a treatment that my doctor in another country gave me and what he thought about it since they couldn’t help me or treat me since they didn’t know what I had . And all he said was “I will not help you PERIOD” I do not recommend this doctor to anyone, specially if they have something serious or hard to diagnose. All they want is an easy patient , which I am not because they haven’t cured me for a year.

After searching for a new OB-Gyn, I came across Dr. Patel. Never have I felt judged or unimportant as I did with my other OBs. He listened to my questions, was quick and to the point but yet still thorough and concise. I live in West Houston and work in Cypress but for an excellent doctor, I will travel. I have several chronic conditions and autoimmune diseases and he makes me feel at ease. I wish their were more physicians like him out there.

Followed Dr Patel's advice with vaginal creme, after 8 years finally could toloerate intercourse. Using creme as instructed for another 4 months can now enjoy sexual relations with my husband as we did prior to hysterectomy,that surgery was preformed by another Dr whom I would never recommend. I am considering in the future the new laser procedure that Dr Patel has performed successfully on other patients so that I can drop medication entirely. Dr Patel changed my life. Highly highly recommend this exceptional Dr.

Dr Patel and his staff are the best ob/gyn I have ever visited. Dr Patel is genuinely compassionate. He has the best personality...he obviously likes what he does. I've been seeing him for several years -- wish he was my doctor when I was having babies. His team has always be very helpful and responsive. Thank you for all you do to make uncomfortable visits more pleasant. :)

Never ever go to this doctor’s office. They are very irresponsible. The nurses DO NOT call back even after leaving multiple messages. They have no professionalism. No sense of urgency. Very much disappointed with offices like this with very poor staff. Called them during their regular office hours multiple times and multiple days but no response at all

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel's since 2000, and I am not going anywhere :-)!! He is an EXCELLENT obgyn!!!. He delivered my baby, and has an excellent bedside manner. Dr. Patel is kind, compassionate, understanding, very knowledgeable, and respectful. He is thorough in answering any questions or concerns I may have, and he is very friendly and doesn't have you waiting a long time to be seen. I appreciate the time he takes with me, and love the joy he has in serving his patients. Dr. Patel is the BEST!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel's for 5 years now. I have always had great experiences. He has delivered both of my daughters and he was able to make both deliveries a more pleasurable experience. He is very easy to understand, and is easy to talk to. I never feel rushed and he always takes the time to talk medical and about life. He is very knowledgeable and caring. I will continue being a patient and will always refer friends and family to see him.

He is very compassionate. Listens to you and takes the time to answer your questions. Office staff is very helpful.

Dr. Patel is the sweetest ob/gyn. He answers all my questions and concerns. His nurse always follows up when I leave a message. Great personality and people person.
