Dr. Nisha Abraham Cohen, MD

I had her for the first time ever yesterday. I am 8 months pregnant and am a first time mom. Of course I have some concerns that I wanted to bring attention to her. She did not seem to care about my questions at all. I cried the whole appointment, and felt like I was a waste of space.. no doctor has made me feel like that. When I explained my fear of giving birth and having anxiety she laughed and told me “it won’t get easier after having a baby” that was so wrong on so many levels. She threw counseling down my throat and told me I needed help on my anxiety because it won’t get easier. Also needless to say she was 20 minutes late coming into the appointment. I hope she won’t be on call when I give birth.

This physician is truly incompetent at what she does. She does bare minimum and does not put any effort into knowing her patients. Her lack of knowledge is very evident in her clinical decision making and places serious doubts in oneself as a patient. Doctors like her makes average patients loose their faith in the health care system.

Not respectful of my time. I’m 9 months pregnant and every time I go to see her I have to wait atleast an hour. Once time she showed up to work ten minutes after my appointment time and still had 3 people before me. I understand things happen but it’s every visit with her and never with the other doctors in the practice. I end up so frustrated I don’t want to ask any questions I may have once she gets in the room. Highly hope she isn’t on call when I go into labor because who knows when she’ll get around to seeing me when I’m ready to give birth.

Not the type to write a review, but I feel that this is one instance I should. Without getting into specifics, the pure lack of empathy and unprofessionalism displayed by Ms. Abraham will be something I do not think I will get over. Going to her as a first time pregnant couple, is a mistake that dwells on me often.
