The most absurd and unethical experience I've ever had with a psychiatrist. I recently moved to the area and on my first visit she said she did not like that I use cannabis at night to go to sleep. She scheduled a second visit in a month which is strange since I only saw my old psychiatrist a few times a year, and when I arrive she immediately goes into a strange conversation that ends with explicitly telling me that refuses to treat me because I use cannabis to go to sleep. She scheduled the second session, in the afternoon when I had to take a half day from work, just to have a chance to bill my insurance company for the visit. Regardless of whether or not you choose to use cannabis, do consider whether a psychiatrist who has absolutely no ethics in pursuit of insurance money or regard for other people's time would be a good fit for you.

Someone mentioned she is more of a business woman than a doctor. I would say a bit of a cult leader in that she has these bizarre views not based on an facts. This was absolutely a scam, she may have doctor in her title but she does not practice medicine. She practices rituals of making outrageous claims and tries to manipulate you into thinking you are sick/bad person and must follow her bogus treatments or she will withhold care.

Tried to contact Dr Nissa Perez about numbness in my left arm that started two days after she put me on Latuda. She did not respond. Over a week later the problem persisted and became worse. Canceled further appointments and got off of the medication. A week or so after discontinuation I still have numbness in my hand, may be nerve damage, very out of the ordinary and I believe it is directly related to the medication, I understand that the side effects of the medication are not her fault, but if she had responded and had me go off sooner the long term damage may have been prevented. I am going to monitor the problem if it persists I will visit a real doctor and write a voluntary drug warning to the FDA about Latuda and file a complaint against Dr. Nissa Perez.
