Dr. Noel Tsun Dah Chiu, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Chiu’s for many years. He is an excellent above brilliant in his field. I was shocked at the other reviews I’ve been reading , because I have never experienced him being out of line. What I’m seeing are reviews that are confused definitions of what’s really termed cognitive genius. A genius mind is never fully understood. But , should you visit him be assured he will get to the root of your concern.

Whish I could give less than one star rating. Dr Chui was rude, arrogant and impertinent. Would not recomend him to anyone.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would have for this subhuman. This was the worst doctor/patient experience I've ever had in my entire life. Not only is this man verbally abusive he won't allow his patients to even ask questions. He has a bizarre narcissistic attitude and prone to violent outbursts. Stay far away from this "doctor". I hope he's investigated after I reported him to the Medical Board today. It doesn't matter how good you are at your job if you're a vile human being.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chiu since he started in Antioch. He diagnosed my condition quickly, where another dermatologist missed it. I think he is an excellent doctor. I feel very comfortable with him. He is friendly and asks about my family. He is very professional. He is not aloof, but really cares about my health. I put my trust in him!

i think i literally had a longer conversation with the receptionist. His only question was regarding "how i got" my insurance which i found very intrusive and not to the point of why i was there. he didnt ask or recommend anything basically he only signed my prescription and sent me on my way. its a shame because i really needed a the services of a good doctor but i did not find one at his office.

Attending Dr Noel Chou the worst experience iv ever had in the medical profession. Extremely rude. Unprofessional and the worst bedside manner.if u are looking for compassion and someone to understand what a patient goes .through while waiting for a diagnosis do not see this doctor...he does not care ...gets offended when u voice u concerns totally unsympathic.....i was really very traumatized by the whole experience with him ..

I read previous reviews on Dr. Chiu that were not favorable re: his bedside manner. I have not had that experience with him. He is professional, thorough, and gives good explanations. You will have to wait, and you will have to come back multiple times so that he can bill for every little service allowed. I once had to wait over an hour in the middle of a procedure because his assistant had to eat lunch. If you know your assistant has to take a lunch break then adjust your surgery schedule around it. If you are a working professional that is annoying. His office staff are incompetent and rude and for that reason I am looking for another dermatologist. They kept calling to confirm an appointment that I had cancelled on 3 separate occasions, and then asked why I needed to reschedule. I am sorry but its really none of your business why a client needs to reschedule, and it comes across as acustatory. Then, they constantly remind you of your co-pay before you even come in and immediately… after you walk in the door before you can even get your wallet out - as though you are planning somehow to get out of the building without paying. At least let me get signed in before badgering me. I'm not a criminal and I don't appreciate being treated like one.

The staff is friendly although the office is a little out dated. My family and I have seen Dr Chiu for many years and he always has a smile on his face when he enters the room but rarely makes eye contact. He seems knowledgable, however, if you question his advice he takes it as a personal attack rather than expanding on why he is persuing this course of treatment. For this reason my family and I will be seeking a new Dermatologist.
