Dr. Noel Strong, MD

Dr Strong delivered my healthy baby. I'm incredibly grateful for her management of my pregnancy, and accommodating some personal medical preferences along the way and during delivery. The other members of her practice were also knowledgeable and understanding when they filled in. One thing that really mattered to me was not feeling rushed during labor and delivery, and Dr. Strong allowed the process to progress as naturally as possible under the medical circumstances, while keeping me well-informed of how things were going.

Delivered both of my babies. Throughout my pregnancies she was caring, attentive and kind. She was also so thorough and clearly competent when it came to answering my questions and concerns for both my pregnancies and was an amazing obstetrician for both of my deliveries. I would (and do!) recommend her completely to anyone I know looking for a high risk ob/gyn.

I had a preconception consultation with Dr Strong as I have a rather complex medical history. We left the conversation saying that she would 1) phone in a prescription for me to my local pharmacy that day and 2) follow up with some of my other doctors at Mt Sinai to confirm they were on board with the plan we had discussed in terms of next steps for planning to become pregnant and circle back with me in 2-3 days. Yesterday marked 2 weeks since my visit. She has yet to phone in the prescription we discussed and has not responded to either my follow up email (8 days ago) or the message I left with her office (2 days ago). Not even an indication that she was still working through the next steps - just no follow up at all. She was very pleasant to deal with in her office, however, being left hanging like this has been stressful and left me wondering whether there is something I should be concerned about. Please put yourself in the shoes of your patients and treat them how you would… like to be treated.

+1 star for knowledge/answering questions and ordering several blood tests. -1 star for saying she would send articles/information about certain topics and not doing so. -2 stars for prescribing medications without calling or having someone call to explain bloodwork results and that an antibiotic was being prescribed (leaving me to figure it out on my own after receiving an automated message from the pharmacy that my prescription was ready for pick up). -1 star for never returning my call.
