Dr. Noojan Kazemi, MD

Said there was no surgical indication for my spine. I went to another surgeon who took a CT scan and diagnosed the failed cervical fusion from several years earlier when the pain started and I couldn't turn my head or look down for years. The other surgeon operated and after five years of narcotics I didn't need them anymore. Dr Kazemi didn't even take imaging. And sent me to get spinal cord stimulating wires put up and down my spine. I was screaming and crying for hours every day for three to four years and he was happy leaving me that way without a diagnosis. It seems like my suffering wasn't important to him. And he couldn't be bothered to figure out why. And he was two hours behind schedule.

Highly skilled surgeon that operated on me. I was in severe pain from scoliosis and pinching of nerves in my lumbar spine. He took time to explain the condition and then performed surgery to relieve the pinching and my deformity. I am so much better and incredibly grateful for his skill. I would absolutely recommend him without question

A really thorough and caring Neurosurgeon. He diagnosed my spinal issue after being referred by another surgeon and arranged for my surgery after doing tests and sending me for follow up imaging. I am now 8 weeks after surgery and doing better than I have been doing for years. He is the kindest and best surgeon and I recommend him without reservation.

Don't go for spine He couldn't make a simple diagnosis and didn't even take imaging. He just made an opinion without any scientific basis. He sent me for a spinal cord stimulator . The next provider I went to took imagining and knew what was wrong even before the imaging and surgically corrected it a. Maybe Kazemi knows brains but he doesn't know spines. And I would stay away if it's spine related. He was late over two hours and really did not seem to know how to evaluate my spine.

My journey began with SEVERE pain shooting down my right leg in July 2022. It was very difficult to walk due to the pain. I had a rare cyst that was severely compressing my spinal cord. I was referred to a Neurosurgeon that said that my case was too complicated for him, his staff and the facility that he operated at. He suggested Dr. Kazemi at UMAS. I am so grateful that he did. I cannot say enough about Dr Kazemi, his nurse/staff and everyone we dealt with at UMAS. I am now pain free!!!! Thank you Dr. Kazimi!!!

I'm going to start off by saying that I am a very difficult patient to deal with and I expect a tremendous level of expertise when it comes to medical providers/surgeons. I did some research since my family physician knows I like to choose my specialists and came across Dr. Kazemi. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR KAZEMI AND HIS NURSE! Every person from the time I check in to my visits until I leave is very professional and friendly. I am 40 years old and I have had major back pain for most of my life and it continued to get worse with every passing day until it got to the point that I was excited about surgery! Dr. Kazemi took the time to understand my needs/wants and we came up with a game plan. He was very open and honest with me from the first time I met with him. He along with another team of surgeons did a spinal fusion on my lower back and it was the best thing I could have done. From the moment I woke up from surgery, that excruciating lower back pain was GONE! It was amazing!!! … I had other minor pain from the surgery itself but the back pain was gone! I was back to work in a few weeks. I will still have some restrictions to what I can and can't do for a few months but overall it changed my life. I truly hope that I do not need another back surgery but if I do, I will definitely return to Dr. Kazemi! If I could give this office more stars, I would for sure!

Greatest doctor alive! he saved my life... 4 years of pain and endless medications, and it is my first time being pain free!!! Dr Kazemi is a true profession with a an experienced and supporting team. Great to have a nice, down to earth and caring surgeon to help people with back an neck pain.

Dr Kazemi performed back operation on me. The whole team were extremely professional and caring. Most importantly my quality of life has significantly improved since the operation, and I have become pain free. The whole process from clinic appointments to operation day and after the surgery were all as planned. I highly recommend Dr Kazemi. Thank you for everything

Long wait time, over 2 and 1/2 hours. Agreed upon a plan and imaging needed. 10 weeks later, still no resolution to an error in imaging, and imaging discussed still not preformed. Also, no follow up for 10 weeks and then unsatisfied a call was placed to the Neuro/Spine Clinic Director, then I received a call from Dr. Kazemi. This call led to no resolution and still no plan. Awaiting a call from the director on how to proceed.
