Dr. Norbert Krzysztof Urbanski, MD

I had a consult with him the week of Sept 8 2025. As a former X-Ray tech who did Cardiac Cath Labs exclusively I've worked with hundreds of invasive cardiologists. Dr Urbanski was the type of cardiologist I tried to avoid. He's got excellent credentials on paper, but zero empathy. He talked AT me for 5 minutes. He tried to change meds that have been working fine for 40 years. He asked when I last had a stress test, I said about 20 years ago. He was fine with that. Twenty years ago is good enough? I don't think so. Not real world cardiology. He's the exact kind of doc I go out of my way to avoid. I've cancelled all follow-ups with him.

I immediately changed to a different practice and provider after this appointment. First of all, my appt wasn’t even scheduled with Dr. Urbanski, but he’s the one I ended up seeing. After waiting over an hour, he didn’t even bother knocking on the door to the exam room, he just barged right in. Didn’t even explain why I was seeing him instead of who I had my appointment with. He addressed none of my concerns, snd spoke so softly (and fast) under his mask I couldn’t even hear him. He didn’t even listen to my heart, what type of cardiologist doesn’t listen to their patient’s heart at the first visit? Everything about this experience was subpar, from the receptionist (with her mask beneath her nose) who didn’t even greet me at her window to the nurse’s aid complaining about how tired she was (and didn’t wash her hands once in the exam room) and finally Dr. Urbanski’s lacking bedside manner.

Dr. Urbanski makes me feel comfortable with his bedside manners approach. He became my Dr when I needed a stent and I wouldn't trade him for any other Dr anywhere! Love him!
